Very nice, convenient and clean hotel. Elevator accessible, entrance through a side door, which explains the low star rating I believe. Great price/quality ratio, provided you do not expect smth luxurious for this price. Guys at reception were very patient and helpful, gave a good advice on sightseen route. Would stay again when back.

We were looking for a clean room that was centrally located and would hold a family of five. This room was all of that. We had enough beds for everyone, the area was quiet at night, the wifi worked well, and the staff was so helpful (both before and during our stay). There was one time that I left the...

I found this hotel great compared to the price you pay. My friends and I only stayed one night and didn't spend much time inside the hotel. The rooms were an ok size and clean. The staff were really friendly and nice. The location was close to termini.

For a budget hotel I thought this was really good value. We got a family triple room which was absolutely massive, and the hotel was in a very convenient location very close to the station and with a reasonable (quality and price) restaurant downstairs. It's not the nicest area, although we felt perfectly safe, and the hotel had good security,...

We stayed at the beginning of July for 4 nights at the Hotel Sweet Home. The hotel is a typical 3 star hotel with basic clean rooms and facilities. What makes this hotel great was it's location and the always friendly hosts. The hotel is close to the main train station and is within comfortable walking distance of all the...

we stayed at this hotel during our stay in Rome, it's located at the heart of the city close to termini station, and also close to a large parking lot if you have a vehicle to be parked. our Host Franko was very kind, nice and attentive, the rooms are very quite given that the street is very busy, spacious...

We received a very warm welcome and were treated very well throughout by Bruno, Roger, Franco and Abdul. They gave us advice about supermarkets, restaurants, public transport, money exchange and tourist spots. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the main train station - we did find reading the road signs tricky at night so do bring a road...

Obviously, it's a 2-star hotel, so don't expect a 3 or 4 star hotel. It's something that made seem obvious, but just make sure that you're not expecting a luxury hotel. Our experience overall was okay, as it was on-par with what we had come to expect with a 2-star hotel. On the first night, our toilet was broken, so...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
