My trip started with a few days in Rome, taking a train south, and coming back by train. Opted for this hotel because it is 1 block away from the Termini. GREAT location, since it is easy to walk around tourist areas, metro is also...More
I stayed in Hotel Luce twice: 3 nights upon arriving in Italy and 1 night right before I left Italy. I think the price is really worth it, considering the location. I specifically wanted a place near the Roma Termini. It just makes commuting so...More
A good stay after the San Marco Hotel had transfer me due to my room not being ready. The hotel is in a good location and close to Rome's main railway station. There is a laundry place opposite the hotel and plenty of cafe and...More

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
Hi, I'm not sure if there is parking facilities as we got the tram from the airport, so might be worth contacting the hotel but it is very close to the main road. It is only one road behind the main road. Hope that helps

It's 1 minute away from termini station where you would be able to take the metro to the Vatican, it's definitely not walking distance. As far other attractions, maybe a 30 or 40 minute walk to the coliseum and possibly a 25 minute walk to Spanish steps and trevi fountain if you're walking fast.
