Our first trip to Rome and after a lot of research we landed on River Palace hotel as the standard and reviews were miles better than most other hotels. A week before arriving, we were asked to move to the sister hotel River Chateau. Looking back, this was no bother at all. In fact, the stay was perfect right from...

We really enjoyed our stay at the River Palace Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff of the hotel was excellent. Our luggage was lost by the airline and the hotel called two to three times daily checking on the status with the airline and airport. The staff also was very helpful in setting reservations for some things as...

We enjoyed our stay at the River Palace hotel very much. The staff was nice and welcoming. Our room was nice and clean. The morning buffet was very good and the bar was a cozy place to start out before going out for dinner. All of Romes main attractions where within walking distance.

We had deluxe rooms and they were very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and informative. There were half price drinks between 6 pm and 10 pm every night making them cheaper than surrounding bars/cafes. An added bonus was the free canopies! The hotel is close to the metro and within easy walking distance of all attractions. There was plenty...

We have just returned from our stay at the River Palace which lived up to all the previous reviews. We arrived late evening and were instructed to get a drink in the bar as it was happy hour.... Which lasts for four hours, so we did, went back half an hour later to reception to be told bags were in...

This is a good hotel, somewhat understated from the outside, in fact you good easily walk past it without realising it. But on the inside it is comfortable with nice decour in a Rome wood and marble theme. Our room, in the middle price rang was very comfortable king size bed, fridge, all you could require except tea making equipment...

Booked after reading hundreds of reviews as feel hotel is an important factor! We weren't disappointed at all.. Perfect location, two minutes stroll to Piazza del Popolo and then three straight roads directing you to the main attractions in Rome.. Making it hard to get lost and easy to find your way back to the hotel. The nearby park was...

Wonderful little hotel in the perfect location to explore beautiful Rome. Our deluxe room was even better than the junior suite we were offered at a reduced rate. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Also very close to the metro. Make sure you make use of the happy hour as the cocktails were fantastic. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is a hidden gem!! It's a small boutique location that is just charming. It's in a great location - very convenient to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, The Pantheon, Piazza Navonna - and more - as well as the metro station. I loved that it had the old world charm with all the modern conveniences. Cant wait to...

Staying in Parioli

Neighbourhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavour of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
