This hotel has a great location (not far from the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Colisseum & a metro stop). Our room was very nice & not too small. It was air conditioned and there's internet access at the front desk. It's a bed and breakfast so they'll bring you your continental breakfast in your room.

We had a nice spacious room and huge bathroom. WE had plenty of room for four people. The Domus Julia is in an excellent location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very basic. We would stay here again.

We recently went to Rome on our honeymoon and stayed in Rome for 5 days. We picked Domus Julia because is was central to everything. Rosa and her staff were awesome and the accomadations were fantasic. The apartment (double) was spacious and more that up to date. Getting around was easy and close to everything (we used the Metro to...

We stayed at the Domus Julia Hotel in Rome. The Domus Julia is part of the Domus Hotel, it's an appartment next door to the hotel. At this hotel we paid 160 euros/night, it is not as nice as was suggested. The hallway leads to the room is dark, I almost tripped twice because of the long hall way. You...

Excellent location. It's a 2 minute walk to the Barbarini Metro stop, less than 5 to the Trevi Fountain. Lots of restaurants nearby. The room was very spacious and a good bargain. Very private. However, there is definitely some street noise, so closing the windows at night might be helpful. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We (two adults-two girls seven and 11 years old) stayed at Domus Julia three days in June/July this year and it was a very good experience. We had a large triple with an extra bed on the first floor. Wooden beams in the ceiling, beautiful furniture, good aircon, beautiful large bathroom. The hotel reception is in Hotel Julia next door,...

My wife and I stayed here for our last night in Italy on a recent trip. Our previous experience in Rome had been hampered by the terrible Hotel King, so we were a little scared going here (if that was a 3 star, what would this look like?). It was great! The room was huge. It was clean (except the...

Stayed in June for 2 nights and loved it. It is actually a converted apartment so there is a shared entry lobby area and three rooms off of it. Our room was very spacious and quite cozy. It felt like an apartment in itself. The hotel next door, Hotel Julia, is related to this one so all the amenities of...

We stayed at the Domus Julia December 17th-21st, 2003. The price came to about $145/night because the dollar was way down at the time. We had a deluxe room on the front of the building with a view over the street. This was very large, clean, had a wonderful bed and bathroom. Rosa (the owner or manager) was wonderful and...

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.

“There are no screens, and if it's late spring or summer you'll have to have the windows open in the early evening. Since there are big streets near, the noise will be audible with windows open. Mosquitos will also be an issue if you open the windows before you turn out your light. There's green coils available in markets nearby, ask for assistance at the desk. NBD.”
