Residenza di Ripetta was an awesome find from Tripadvisor. The location can't get any better, in the heart of Rome yet a lane away from the noise and chaos. A 5-10 mins walk to Spanish steps, Via Del Corso, the metro, bus stops and a...More
Where do I start. We paid for 5 nights and a suite overlooking the courtyard. Our first "suite" had a dirty wall that hadn't been painted in years and it overlooked the back garbage dump. The next room overlooked an alley/street--not the courtyard. Worse yet...More

We couldn't have been more pleased with this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and very roomy. Our room, on the 3rd floor, faced a courtyard and avoided any street noise. The location is close to major attractions (2 blocks from the Piazza del Popolo),...More

From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to
look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.

Personally, I would never drive in Rome. The traffic is crazy! Taxis are relatively inexpensive. If you are returning the car at the airport, you can easily get a cab. However, it's not a short distance from the main Rome airport to the hotel (or any centrally located hotel). And, of course, all this depends on how much luggage you have to carry around.

Note that you have drive from Piazza Del Popolo as the street the hotel is on in one way (North to South). Hope this helps. M
