Wifi was free but you have get a new code daily which didn't always work which I found annoying. The morning staff seemed always willing help but on one accession the man on duty...

We stayed in that hotel for 4 days as Rome was our 1st stop during our 2 week round Italy trip. We chose that hotel as it was really close to the central station Termini of Rome and you could go anywhere from there. The location was ideal with a lot of restaurants and shops around, the staff was proffessional...

Located closer to the trail way station and basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. Convenient location with restaurant around. But rooms are pretty small and good was really basic. Good for a short stay like a day or 2.

Location- the location is ok, very close to termini station which was good to get round the city and easy from the airport. The area itself was a bit shabby and I would choose another area as there's so many people watching everything you do. I think it's definitely pick pocket central. There are some lovely resteraunts about the area...

Would definitely go and stay there again. Very impressive lobby area - efficient staff who were courteous and friendly - even though we were given a Room overlooking a busy street, we had no issues with noise etc. It was clean, bright, spacious, & well decorated. There were many restaurants and cafes around also good for shopping. Termini station was...

Employees don't even smile at your arrival You wait 45 minutes to get your passoort back until they register you Rooms are small, air conditioning is noisy My brother was not even allowed to visit us in the room They charged 10 Euros to my 77 years old father for having bent cheap thin plastic key ring Very bad experience!

Great "small" room for 1-2ppl. Very clean, ac great. Quick check in. By North American standards the rooms are smaller..but what more does one need. After 6pm the immediate blocks come alive w gorgeous street level ristorante / Enoteca. Fabulous. Realign expectations to how life is here. .you ll be pleasantly satisfied. 8.5/10.

My husband and I find this hotel as a perfect solution for a short stay. It is near Termini station so you can easily reach airport. We decided to go with Teravision which was at the same time the cheapest way to go to center from airport. Contilia met our expectation. It is a budget hotel, but clean and we...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
