Although the rooms are on the small side, they are very clean. Bathrooms were spacious and modern. We did not spend much time in the rooms, except to get over jet lag the first day. Breakfast is included and it was excellent, something for everyone at their rooftop garden including great cappuccino and hot chocolate for the kids. The location...

Stayed for 6 nights at the Hotel Madrid, picked this hotel on the basis of so many good reviews on here. We were not disappointed. Although expensive a lot of what you pay for is the fantastic location. Easily walkable to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Pantheon with Spagna metro station very close as well. Room itself was spacious,...

Our group of 16 members, ranging in age from 10 to 67, stayed at the Hotel Madrid for 3 nights prior to embarking on a 12-night Western Mediterranean cruise. Our accommodations consisted of 3 suites and 2 double rooms. Hotel Madrid far exceeded our expectations and the staff, in addition to being highly efficient, was courteous, personable and extremely helpful....

Stayed in two rooms (double and triple) during Spring Break in April. This was our second of three hotels during our stay in Italy and it was nice. It is a small, boutique hotel. Husband and I had one room. Mother and two sons (12 and 13) shared a triple with queen bed and twin. Rooms were small, especially with...

Have just returned following a 2 night stay in Hotel Madrid in a triple room which had a double and a single bed. Ok for us as we were all family and female, but could have been a bit difficult if you didnt want to share a bed!! The hotel is in a quiet side street, right next to The...

Just returned from a 3-day break in Rome, staying at the Hotel Madrid. We had one of the family suites, double bed in one room, twin beds in the other room for our 2 boys (14 and 10). The rooms were not huge, but perectly adequate. The bathroom was a good size with a lovely shower and plenty of big...

We found the hotel to be one of the best experiences in the world. We stayed there for 3 nights, and couldn't get over how nice the service was. We'd definitely do it all over again.

Loved this hotel. Great location. 2 minutes to the Spanish steps and the metro. But you can pretty much walk to lots of places around Rome. Not the Colosseum or the Forum, but lots of other places. The room was for 5. This was a great place. Only small complaint was there is a loud night club right below the...

I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Rome. It is centrally located in the heart of the city. You can easily walk to any big attraction from here. The hotel staff was wonderful, very friendly, spoke perfect english and definitly helped out when I couldn't find a place on the map (given to me by the staff). The...

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
