We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights at the end of Feb 07 and we couldnt have asked for anything more! We stayed in room 106 and it directly over looked the Trevi Fountain. Never had a view so spectacular from a hotel window - our first words were wow! The hotel is really well located with a metro...

I stayed in this little but very well located hotel with a room on the 2nd floor overlooking the Trevi Fountain-awesome ! The room was perfectly pleasant albeit a tad bijou, but what do you expect for the price and location [210euros/night], On the top [5th] floor is the breakfast room with the most amazing view of the fountain- it...

I just cannot see why this hotel continues to get such good reviews. When we arrived our tiny room was not ready, the drains stank and the people on the front desk were disinterested. We moved to a different room which was at least clean. The bed was comfortable but the room was too small to relax in. Breakfast was...

The Fontana doesn't look like much from the outside but don't let that put you off. The hotel and rooms may be small (space is a premium in cities like Rome) but the place is spotless and the staff are friendly and helpful (we got very detailed instructions on where to buy tickets for football and then find the Stadio...

This is a bit of an awkward review as my husband and I never stayed at the Fontana but we attempted to. I just want to say to other potential guests that the booking process is horrendous. We had some special requests so we contacted the hotel directly. Once our requests were confirmed we attempted to book our room through...

Our experience with Hotel Fontana was ok with some plusses and minuses. One of the primary advantages of this hotel was location, location, location. Fontanta is RIGHT in front of the gorgeous Trevi fountain, easy to walk to major sites in Rome, easy to find, etc. We liked the top floor terrace where breakfast was served. It overlooked the fountain...

We stayed for three nights at Fontana Hotel. Fontain of Trevi is a wonderful place, animated and pleasant. Fontana Hotel is just in front of the fontain. We stayed in three rooms on the other side, more quite. I would say that the price is over rated regarding the furniture and the service. Rooms are small and bathrooms are for...

We stayed at the Hotel Fontana in Rome from 5th until 10th September. We stayed in room 206 which directly overlooks the Trevi Fountain. The view from the window is truly awesome, you almost feel you are in the fountain, the atmosphere and the noise of the fountain is mesmerising. Having said that, we were able to sleep soundly with...

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Fontana on the last night of our glorious Italian vacation. I had originally read about the hotel in a book about charming small hotels. After reading all the negative reviews, I almost cancelled. I am glad that I didn't, because our night at the hotel was a wonderful way to end our...

We just returned from a wonderful four-night stay at the Hotel Fontana (July 21 - 25, 2006). Like several other reviewers, I chose this hotel based on its wonderful location. Little did I know that it would turn out to be such a charming hotel! For those who like the chain hotels that consist of 100 or more rooms, this...

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
