We only spent one night in Alpi hotel but I would return whenever because we felt welcomed, we got a nice service and the room was good! We arrived a couple of hours earlier than the check in time, but it was no problem, the room was ready and we could check in before the check in time. We even...

Last year we stayed here for 2 nights prior to a cruise and this year we stayed post cruise. We booked a transfer which came for us at the port and when we arrived they stored our luggage so we could head out straight away to sightsee. Our family room was perfectly adequate and it had an updated bathroom. We...

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Alpi. We booked the hotel on line and the pictures of the rooms and facilites looked great, but wasn't sure what to expect as you never know if the pictures are actually what the hotel looks like. We were very pleased when we arrived, we stayed in the family room which was a...

We booked this hotel on line so we were not sure what we would get! This hotel was wonderful - the staff was super friendly and helpful, including tracking us down a snack and caffe latte! The rooms were clean, comfortable and roomy compared to other European hotels. Location was very central and close to tours, trains, and busses. I...

This hotel was easy to find and close to the termini. Reasonable restaurants close by and close to the two main metro lines. Executive suite at the hotel was very comfortable, good size and well serviced. As suspected no irons in rooms in Italy as the service desk informed us its against legislation. Terrace rofoftop good place for a drink...

Just came back from a visit in Rome and I really had a nice time at Hotel Alpi, the only possible thing I could complain on is that rooms looks a lot bigger in the pictures than they really are but it didn't matter considering how clean and comfortable they were. Staff was very sympathetic and educated, our booking had...

I found the hotel to be very conveniently located since I arrived by train to Rome Termini station. It is a walking distance. Conveniently located to Independence Square where you can get all operators of Hop On and Hop Off service. I visited with my family including two young kids and the hotel was very accomodating. Thought it is not...

A good location for our first visit in Rome. We were near from open top bus, grocery and small restaurant. We were 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The buffet breakfast was good and the service was excellent. We will return at this hotel.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
