When we arrived at Tre Stelle hotel after a long flight to Rome, we were definitely disappointed with the arrangements. The hotel didn't look nearly as nice as the pictures on their website. Our room was very small (the bed took up most of the room) and the window view overlooked a broken down alley. Every door that was shut...

This is really good hotel for this price and it is cheap!!! The staff was friendly and helpfull and it was clean (which is the most important for me). The location was very good! Before my trip, I read some comments and I was a little bit suspicious and scared, but when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised! The only...

I was impressed when we arrived. I thoought it would be bad, but it was actually pretty ok for that price! I believe we payed alot more for worse rooms the two other times we went to Rome. The staff was great and very helpful. And the best part, it was alot cleaner than I thought! They changed towels every...

For the price we had to pay, this was realy a good hotel! The room and bathroom where clean, the beds maybe a little bit to hard if you're not used to that. The staff was very friendly, breakfast was oké. I realy don't understand all the complains, when you don't want to pay a lot of money for a...

Welcome to Rome, unless your staying at Tre Stella... Our "3 star" room offered delightful views of garbage, broken aircons and an alley that would scare off the most hardened gypsy. Towel's as thin as a bed sheet, broken cistern and more mould than Ive ever seen. To use the shower we had to disinfect and scrub it first. Not...

This is the first negative review I have ever written on Trip Advisor. The hotel Tre Stelle was horrible. First of all, it was filthy. There was so much mildew and mold in the shower that it was disgusting. The lighting was terrible too--with all of the lights turned on it was still so dim that you couldn't even read...

There is a Best Western in the same building just around the corner, for about the same price it is really nice. This hotels web site show nice rooms, but when you get there they are dumps, the funiture is all chipped and broken. Do not believe the web site photos. The bathroom smelled like a sewer. I asked them...

Hotel has a good location near the train station. The staff was friendly. But the place is a dump! The shower had mold and the shower doors were broken. The bathroom was cramped and had a sewer smell. If you think this hotel is OK then remove the pillow cases and take a look at what your'e laying your head...

The staff was friendly. The room was clean and the bath as well. Shower made for sportsmen and we did not had problems with. Breakfast was simple but enough to start the day. The hotel was 7-8 minutes from Termini railway station and we could walk to the Colosseum in about 20-25 minutes and walk to other main locations in...

Firstly I should state that I did not actually stay at Hotel Saturnia. My room was booked with Hotel Saturnia, but when we got there we were told that they were overbooked and they had arranged a room in another hotel, Hotel Tre Stelle. The hotel was 1.5km away and no taxi was offered even when we asked. The alternative...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
