This B&B is really a couple of rooms in a suburban residential apartment building. Best to establish contact with property in advance for access, especially if you won't have phone cover. Room was good, clean, but needed a couple of minor things maintained. Manager gave...More
The B & B is a small appartment within a larger building containing at least 2 other B & B establishments. This in itself is not a problem but a bit of a surprise if you're not expecting it.

Very poor standard of accommodation especially given the price. The place was dirty, had limited hot water, bugs / insects in the room, one pillow per person, no quilt covers, bathroom door would not shut. The host was very unhelpful and spoke very limited English....More

Above the city on the Janiculum hill, Monteverde is Rome’s popular "getaway" neighbourhood, coveted for its greenery. Rome's largest urban park, Villa Pamphili, is the area's centrepiece with affordable prices and peace and quiet. Monteverde is just far enough away from the centre to feel like you’re on a Roman holiday and close enough to feel the lure of Rome's chaos. Though its downside is the lack of
scheduled public transport, this family-oriented area is literally a well-deserved walk in the park.
