Second visit to Hotel Santa Anna although a very short one (needed an overnight for a flight layover). Room was wonderful, staff most friendly and helpful (as was our experience the first visit). Arranged an early car to the airport for us, friendly personal wakeup call, and made this stop of a hectic travel weekend a pleasurable, restful break. Will...

Perfectly situated down a street with plenty of charming restaurants that manages to keep quiet to ensure a peaceful rest. Our room was standard and fell nothing short of very clean and nice. The breakfast was nice too. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This boutique hotel is a few minutes walk from the Vatican, public street & 10 minutes away from a metro station. The avenue is filled with outdoor cafes/restaurants in addition to an adjacent gelateria. The staff is super friendly and are kind enough to provide you with a map upon check-in & a courteous goodbye email; CRM experts. However, this...

We recently spent 5 amazing days in beautiful Rome. We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment just steps away from the Vatican. The apartment was very specious (3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms) and clean and had a great terrace to enjoy. In short: great location, great staff, and great breakfast. Would definitely stay again!

This is a quaint and elegant hotel just s couple of blocks away from the Vatican City. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated. The hotel decor is inviting and the courtyard was a pleasant surprise and the sitting areas downstairs were cozy. We had a spacious, triple room. The bathroom was...

This was my second visit in the last 5 years to this hotel. If you are looking for a small hotel, with people who care about you personally and that you are not just a room number, then this is the place for you. The hotel is very quaint, yet has modern conveniences. The staff is amazing. The location is...

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighbourhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
