The rooms were somewhat small and not super clean but the service was good and the location is convenient, It is not very luxurious but for the traveler who does not have many demans it is perfectly decent.

Hotel was exceptionally clean and all linen and towels changed daily. Good value hotel but the bathroom and shower cubicle are very small. Breakfast was quite basic and staff very obliging if you needed anything else. Very good transport links within walking distance to hotel and about a 20 mins walk to colosseum. Superb delicatessen opposite hotel called Volpetti ,...

The Santa Prisca hotel is close to metro station Piramide, but also Colloseum and Circo Maximo are within easy reach. As the hotel is situated in a parc, it is quite quiet. Close by are some shops, bars and the busstop too. The rooms are simple but clean, as is the bathroom. Breakfast is good. You should take the time...

Santa Prisca is a 2 Star Hotel that was once a convent. I think the back of the building may still be an a convent. This brings a sort of calm and quiet to the hotel. The rooms are simple, but spacious enough and very clean. The service was friendly and responsive. I didn't have the breakfast because I am...

This hotel is well located in a mainly residential area of Rome but still close to buses, trams and trains and all of the well-known Rome attractions. Its setting and courtyard add to the ambience, it is close to a park and local bars and restaurants which provide an excellent opportunity to experience great Roman food and authentic ambience without...

I stayed at the hotel for just 1 night. Despite very late arrival I experienced a very welcoming and supportive staff. Easy to check in & out. Rooms are clean, moderate. Furniture, IT / Wifi are certainly not "state of the art", but if you just need a clan convenient place to stay - it works very well. In respect...

The hotel is well-situated near public transport. There are numerous restaurants within easy walking distance. This was my second stay and once again my room was spotless and the staff was unfailingly polite and helpful. Breakfast is minimal with no fruit and limited choices, but you can ask for a capuccino. The rooms are small and basic. There is very...

I've stayed in the S. Prisca a number of times over the years. It is in a great location and it is clean. However, the rooms are tiny, the beds far too small and they serve a really poor breakfast. I've stayed in much better hotels in the same area for roughly the same price (Aventino and surroundings).

Six of us stayed here on a five day trip to Rome. It's a pleasant building in it's own grounds just a short stroll from the Piramide metro and bus stops. Public transport connections are superb. There are plenty of bus stops directly in front, including direct routes that follow the river all the way to St. Peters and the...

Staying in Aventine

Neighbourhood Profile
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighbourhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
