There were 2 couples in our party & we stayed a total of 4 nights & we highly recommend this hotel. The staff speaks good English, directs you to all locations with a detailed map, calls a cab for you & suggests places to see & where to eat. The rooms are small (typical for most of Italy), but clean...

Great, clean hotel in walking distance of all the major sites in Rome. The staff were great, good choice at breakfast, rooms not the biggest but if you're hanging around your room in Rome then maybe you should have gone somewhere else. Not much more to say than it's ideal. We will definitely stay there again.

We chose to stay at the Hotel Smeraldo because it is perfectly located near the Campo di Feori which means that not only are all the major sites within walking distance but that, unlike during previous trips to Rome, we didn't have the daily navigation of one of the seven famous hills, as that part of Rome is on level...

Great location for walking to the must-see sights of Rome. Professional and welcoming staff. There's a rooftop terrace offering drinks and a beautiful roofline view of Rome. Clean, good showers, comfy beds, and "cozy" rooms (read: small). The breakfast buffet is generous and tasty ... and included in the room price. The photo is taken from the rooftop terrace.

This was our second visit to Hotel Smeraldo. Last year we spent one night post-cruise... this year we spent two nights post cruise. We stayed in the annex building this time and absolutely loved it! The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff is genuinely helpful. The breakfast was outstanding! I look forward to staying here again.

Location amazing, 5-15 minutes walk from everything. Great breakfast including cooked. Lovely rooftop terrace with vintage Prosecco for 18 euros. Our room was spacious and clean. Some renovations ongoing but didn't affect our stay.

This is a late review. We stayed here last February. The location is very good. It is walking distance to some tourist sites. It is near a bus station. The staff were friendly. Receptionists were gracious, they provide you good recommendations of the city. They will even call you a cab if you need one. The breakfast was pretty good...

Small, quaint, clean, safe, friendly helpful staff, excellent full breakfast, walking distance to all the important sites, excellent restaurant recommendations close-by. Our room was small as most rooms in Europe. Recently remolded. Famous bakery across the street. Would stay again.

It is a good hotel. Very Clean and is relatively close to sights. Just a little over 30 minutes from Vatican City by foot. The room is small, the bathroom is even smaller. The alley my room faces is loud due to foot traffic to businesses but mostly vehicles especially two wheeled vehicles. Most italian hotel beds are low to...

We requested the service of transportation from the airport to the hotel. We were given perfect instructions on where to meet our driver. He was waiting for us when we arrived,. This helped us to get our trip started with ease. We arrived before the rooms were ready but the hotel has a locked room where our bags could be...
