We're staying in this hotel from 27.09.15 to 04.10.15. It's very cheap and simple hotel, the greatest advantage of the hotel - it's location. Rooms were cleaned, but in the shower had no shelves to put toiletries. Breakfast - very bad. The WI-FI is very slowly and working sporadically. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

I write this sitting at the desk in the room (203, looking out over the main street). The room is clean, comfortable, quite and spacious. It's no ultra modern boutique, but then it doesn't claim to be. Location is extremely convenient for the Termini, being a couple minutes walk. This is great coming from the airport as the shuttle bus...

We just got back from a 6-night stay at this hotel. We arrived after midnight but there was no problem checking in that late (they advertise 24-hr check-in) and they had upgraded our room to a larger one without additional cost. The room was spacious, bathroom was small but functional, staff were very helpful. The breakfast is a little spartan...

We spent six nights there and loved it. Very clean room, but basic -- but who wants to spend a bunch of time in a hotel room in Rome?? Breakfast was also basic, but completely satisfactory. And we didn't realize how convenient it is to be only a few blocks from Termini, where you can catch trains, the metro, buses,...

The location is good, 5 minutes walk from Termini station; 2 metro stops from Colosseum. The room was large and clean; the furniture was a little outdated but this didn't bother us. We had anything we needed: space, confortable bed, a table, big TV, a safe, minibar, ensuit bathroom. Recomended for not very pretentious travelers, who need a confortable staying...

We stayed here due to the price and proximity to the Termini station. Obviously the closer to the centre of Rome you get, the more expensive the hotels will be. This hotel is only 5 minutes stroll to the station were you can get a metro or a bus to anywhere in the city. The Central Station does have a...

Could not fault this hotel at all. Stayed two nights on a work trip and the room was everything one could ask for. Clean, spacious and comfortable. I have stayed in some four/five star hotels in Rome that do not measure up to this one. It is reasonably priced and having visited Rome for work and leisure over many years...

Nice clean basic room with easy access to Termini which is really handy for sightseeing. We did get lost finding the hotel on arriving as the hotels website directions aren't the best - we exited from a different exit so ended up turning the wrong way in the pouring rain! Then the map on my phone was pointing to a...

Great stay, very helpful staff, hearty breakfast and a superb central location. Located near to Termini, a short metro ride or pleasant walk to the forum and other sites in Rome. In addition, there are a number of decent restaurants and bars close to the accommodation. In addition the beds are very comfy. The only slight criticism is that the...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

“Others mentioned the market that is outside the front door from Mon to Sat, and recommended getting a courtyard room. Our room was overlooking the market, and pretty much over the front door, and we heard almost no noise. Might be different during the summer if you sleep with the window open, though.”

“I would guess the rooms overlooking the market (at the front) probably get a bit noisy early in the morning.”
