We stay there 4nights for our visit. Hotel is in a very good location in shopping district. They call them self 5stars luxury but to me I don't really feel that. Our room is not including breakfast and they charge 25euro person for breakfast. Not even a single bottle of water offer during our stay. For 4days they didn't clean...

Great location, friendly staff. The star of this hotel is Ana, the head concierge, she is helpful beyond belief, genuinely wants to make sure everything you want done is done is in the best possible manner across all of Italy....not just Rome. Cannot say enough great things about Ana. She carries so much of the guest experience in this hotel....

I must admit our hesitance to book the Grand Hotel Plaza after reading some lukewarm reviews. Our family that includes two teens, agree that we're glad we took a chance on this property because we truly enjoyed our stay. The location is absolutely 5 stars - the hotel is in short walking distance to the Villa Borghese, Trevi Fountain, Spanish...

Torn between my rating, but to be fair I have given it a 3/5 instead of 2/5. On arrival, the hotel is grand and the reception staff are friendly enough although perhaps a bit snobby. We had a room for 2 adults, 2 children. The rooms were definitely not what we were expecting and a far cry from what we...

This hotel has an old world charm and impressive decor in the ground floor reception area. The location is excellent. On my way back to the airport I passed other hotels on the outskirts of the centre and realised that it would not have been easy to walk to the main sites if I had chosen to stay at some...

I see by the reviews that some think this hotel has passed its heyday, but I found it charming. It has a few quirks, but after a couple hundred years I'd say it has earned those quirks. I, myself am no so spring chicken and not everything works as well as when I was twenty. I'm thinking I will stay...

The hotel is situated right at the main street Via del Corso - most of the attractions i.e. Roman Forum, Colosseum, Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain is easily accessible by foot. The Vatican City is about 20 mins walk from the hotel. Fantastic location! The bedroom was average, bed was not very comfortable. Shower area was very small, but we...

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
