This is a great place to stay if you are looking for something with more personality than the well known chains but still at a reasonable price. The room was a good size with a lovely bathroom, staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast...More
The staff really made us feel at home. We certainly enjoyed the atmosphere, this is nice people , very helpful. Their restaurant recommendations (just outside the hotel) were wonderful, they were very polite. Very good customer service. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location...More
Bait and Switch says it all. While some customers apparently get real Hotel Artistes rooms, other customers (including me) get directed to a (likely unregistered) apartment twice as far from the station, (they call it the "Hotel Nice") in horrible surroundings (graffitti-covered alley, broken glass...More

Dear Mr. Bruce

My stay at Hotel Des Artistes was great. I expected to stay in a comfortable and clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff and it was exactly as I imagined it to be just as it seems on their website. I didn't spend a bundle...More
Hotel Des Artistes location near Roma Termini, in a quiet and safe street, plus the excellent service provided by the staff, make this hotel an excellent value at a reasonable price. The rooms are spacious, with a private bathroom. My wife, her sister, nephew and...More
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

Hi, not aware that the hotel offers anything sorry, however if you are flying into Fiumicino airport, there is a non stop direct train that goes into the centre of Rome. The station is the Termini and is a 10 minute straightforward walk to the hotel. Ticket costs €16, the train is of a very high standard and takes about 25 mins. Traffic in Rome is pretty manic, so a cab would probably cost a lot more.
Hope this helps 🙂
