Superbly positioned, just yards from the bus stop which connects you to almost all the sites and just a couple of minutes walk to the underground, and super quick link to the Vatican and the Colliseum. Irish bar across the road and a couple of decent cafes just yards away. Hotel reception extremely helpful. Rooms spotlessly clean and room service...

My wife and I have just returned from a five day stay at the Hotel Miami and considered the hotel to provide excellent value for the price we paid. The location was super and we were able to visit all the sites on foot - even the Vatican. The room was a reasonable size for two, clean, tidy and nicely...

This hotel has a great location, around 10-15 minute walk to 'ancient rome' and the Trevi Fountain, and also from Termini station where you will end up after the train from the airport. The room was clean, nice bathroom (although very small - no room to move in the shower!). It had nice cold marble floors which were a nice...

We spent 4 wonderful nights at Hotel Miami. It is in a great location, easy walk to the coloseum, forum, and Termini. We even walked across town to the Vatican without getting too worn out. The hotel was very clean and the staff, especially Mario, was very helpful. They also provided a good breakfast every morning, but I would recommend...

Stayed here in early May 2006 and found it had everything we needed. The location was fantastic - virtually in the middle of the Via Nazionale. Close to the Bus / Train Terminal and close to the Victoriana and the Collosseum. We were on the fourth floor in an end room so our room was slightly bigger than the others....

We have just returned from a long weekend (4 days) at the Miami Hotel, Rome. The hotel is in a prime location for access to all the sites in Rome in particular being a 15 min walk from the Colosseum and on the way you can see the Tomb of the unknown soldier, and the Forum. There is also a...

We stayed at the hotel Miami at the end of April 2006. Many of the previous reviews of this hotel are accurate. The hotel is easy to find along Via Natizionale , just a 10/15 minute walk from the Termini. The Hotel is in a building with other businesses which means the lay out is a bit bizarre. We were...

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of April 2006. Good points: very clean, I'm particularly meticulous when it comes to noticing when cleaning has just been scooted over - and I could not find fault. the bathroom was as good as new. The location was very good and there were buses right outside to take you anywhere...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
