Upon entering hotel, which looked tired and a bit dingy from the outside,I was not greeted with a smile nor a real welcome. Buongiorno--passports please was the greeting. I was somewhat taken aback as I thought I had left the custom officials at the airport....More
I stayed here recently for 4 nights with a friend. Seemed like a nice hotel when we checked it online, must admit the roof garden was a bit of a decider when it came to the booking.
Checked in at reception, no problem with the...More
The hotel was a short walk from the Termini Station. My wife and I were on a long weekend break to see the sights of Rome.
Very friendly staff at booking in and even managed to crack a few jokes with the desk clerk.

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

We did not pay any extra to leave our bags there in a room off the lobby. We did some sightseeing for the morning till early afternoon and left Rome on a 2:30 train. It's what a lot of hotels in Europe do, keep luggage for people checking out, but can't drag their bags around town.
