My family stayed at the Hotel de Russie for a week. We had a suite with a connecting room for our teenage children. The combination of the two accomodations amounted to us having a nice sized apartment! Every person who works at the hotel was wonderful, from the doorman to the reception desk staff to the concierge to the wait...

A good hotel with a great concierge. The major plus of this hotel is its own piazza style gardens where the bar and breakfast can be enjoyed. A cool little place next to the good shopping streets and their restaurants..

Hotel is in a great location, the staff are helpful and friendly. The food is very good but restaurant hours were surprisingly limited, and often full during breakfast hours, the first morning we were told there was a 20min wait at 10, but a smaller menu was available in the bar! Disappointing for a 5 star. The rooms are not...

I had heard about a hidden paradise in the middle of crowded center of Rome near Spanish steps but I was not sure what to expect...I became certain when the door opened and the fresh exotic flower collection stood in front of me If you cannot afford it,it is expensive,no doubt, come for a coffee,a refreshment of some georgeous finger food...but...

I have spent one night in this hotel for my business trip to Rome. The location of the hotel is excellent by being very close to the famous Spanish steps and in the heart of the shopping area. I have stayed in a suite which was spacious with a spacious bathroom. The breakfast was offered as a combination of buffet...

This place ain't cheap but almost worth every cent. Best location for sightseers and serious shoppers. Exceptional staff in every single position , no snootiness and lots of smiles. Stravinsky bar has great drinks and atmosphere. Understated glamour, top notch in public areas but our room though clean, comfortable and stylish was in need of a "spruce up". Would stay...

From its excellent location to the superb service, the Hotel De Russie is the only place we would consider when visiting Rome again. We have stayed at other lovely, well-located hotels in Rome, but after our wonderful New Years holiday at De Russie we will definitely be back. Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.

“My room overlooked the street. I loved it. Get Junior Suite!”
  • My gorgeous room! I'm pretty sure this was the Junior Suite. Couch on the left against the wall.
  • View from my window. I LOVED it! Looked like a magazine cover. So Italian!
  • This is what I saw when I looked to the right out my window. Piazza del Popolo.
  • This is what I could see when I stepped outside my room door. Interior of hotel grounds.
  • This is what I saw when I looked left out my window (Spanish Steps this direction).
