This hotel is a little bit expensive, but which hotel in Rome isn't?! I stay here alone for one night, in room with double bed 4th floor. Room vas clean and small but for me it is enough. Bathroom is not good. It is clean bit you don't have shower separate. It is very small. Breakfast is sweet because you...

Really not what you would expect after reading the description on the internet: room door doesn't open completely because the bed is in the way, breakfast is very poor, no internet in the rooms, only in one public place and even thrre not 24 hours a day... Very disappointing and disappointed ...

Like any city in the world, there are many types of accommodation to cater for travellers needs. Hotel Zara, is a nice, quaint, unassuming little hotel, close to dining, transport, and, in some cases, a short bus or cab ride to one of the many must do attractions of Rome. To understand hotel Zara, visitors have to first understand Rome....

The two of us for four days in the hotel, returned home only yesterday. It has a very good location, half way between Termini and Fontana di Trevi, five minute walk to the nearest metro station. We had a room on the third floor looking on the back yard, which would make it pleasantly quiet if the insulation between rooms...

Cannot be beaten on price for this area. Its so central and just a short walk from Termini station. Im supprised they include breakfast at this price. Breakfast offers a few sweet pastries or cereal. Rooms are basic, comfortable and very spacious. Staff are all very helpful and friendly. Store next door, restaurants a stones throw away and all attractions...

Perfect location! 10 minutes walk from train station Termini, 10 mins walk from metro and you can walk to many attractions easily. There is a supermarket right next to it. The only thing is we don't like the breakfast. They cannot cook and they serve sweet bakery only. Luckily they allow us to bring our own stuff, so we bought...

Great hotel in an ancient and magical building. The location is the main value for your money - the hotel located close to Via Nazionale St (many shops, restaurants and co) and just 10 minutes walk from the center of Rome (Piazza Barberini, Fontana de Trevi and so on). The main city transportation station (Termini) is only 10 minutes walk...

Great location and friendly staff. Spacious room but felt stuffy when I entered. I opened all windows to let fresh air come in. The complimentary breakfast is minimal, you really get what you pay for.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
