This hotel is centrally located and gives value for money. All staff are friendly and helpful. Daily breakfast is very substantial. Hotel is close to bus/train station if taking public transport to/from airports.

centrally located, clean, friendly staffs, quiet, good breakfast, safe, lay out makes sense, all the essentials are there, i like the privacy of front desk not at the same main entrance. I just concern the padded foam wall may wear out after awhile. And no english channel TV, like CBC news was a disappointment

We really enjoyed our stay. Staff were all helpful and even provided us with breakfast as we had to leave early morning on our last day. Very clean. Excellent location as close to Termini station and metro stops to visit Rome sites.

The hotel is conveniently located near Termini Station and near amenities. The room is big, clean and nicely furnished. The breakfast is good and the staff are friendly & helpful. My family will definitely stay in this hotel again if we return to Rome.

We arrive 4 Hours early then our check in hour but they gave us the room free of charge. That was cool. From here to Termini Train Station is a 1 min walk, and you can make @10-15 min on foot to Coloseum or Trevi Fountain. Next time when we will get to Rome this will be pur first choice.

It is very well located very close to the Termini train station. Friendly staff at the reception, which is located next to the main entrance of the hotel (that is on the 3rd and 4th floor of the building if I am not wrong). Clean room, very cute.

I stayed at Hotel Selene twice over the past few years and I was pleased to notice it just got better. Renovations were ongoing while I was there the first time and nearly ended by my second visit to Rome. The rooms are cozy and quite spacious. It is a little noisy from the streets so a room on the...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

“I had 2 rooms during my stay because the BBC t.v. channel wasn't available in first room. First room was on the side, it was quiet had a bath/shower combo. Second room was actually an upgrade, better bedding and a good shower although it was a tight fit. No bath. ”

“Warning--certain times of the year the air conditioning or heating in Italy is not allowed on so we had to open the window which means street noise. Just use earplugs and we slept fine. Hotels have no control over this regulation.”
