I felt a bit mislead by the pictures on the booking site, as they looked a bit fancier than it actually is - a relatively old hotel on the second floor of a building. Nevertheless, the price is really nice for its location, around 10 to 15 minutes walking distance from a few major attractions. Staff is nice and friendly,...

Found a good deal on Expedia and went for a long wekend. Idealy situated to see all the sights of Rome and only a 10 minute walk from the main train station. Rooms are basic but are exceptionally clean, with comfortable beds. The chap on the reception desk spoke very good english and was very helpful even providing us with...

This hotel is located within walking distance of the train station. Our room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A European breakfast is offered in the dining room. The hotel has an elevator and a "fair" money exchange is located next door.

Hotel Dorica is just a short walk from Rome main railway station (Termini) and with a walking distance from Colosseum. Those are the best sides of the hotel. Remember to bring your earplugs since the walls are "paper" and you can hear everything. The room was clean, which is nice. Breakfast was not included in the room price, which came...

Booked last minute and what a gem I found! Very helpful and friendly staff, nice large and clean room overlooking the Piazza Vinamale, ideally located for all the major attractions, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps, all 10/15 mins walk. Give it a try, you won' be disappointed

Great location from terminini station, staff was very friedly and helpful. The room was excelent! Super Mario was the best! walking distance to all the sites! no need for a guide since the staff will show you how to get around, when you need to exchange currency just go to an atm machine is cheaper than an exchange house.

The rooms were clean and surprisingly roomy considering the centre city location. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of the breakfast, which admittedly is an optional extra, but included fruit juice from concentrate and UHT milk - just not to my taste! The positioning is ideal...

We had a reservation for 3 nights. Use the hired car service if you are able to get to and from the airport. The hotel will arrange for you if requested. The hotel is in a good location. Simple but very clean room. Simple breakfast was included in my reservation but enough to start each day. We would stay again.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
