Just returned from my first visit to Rome, booked the Hotel Dorica and couldn't have chosen better, friendly staff, comfortable beds and pillows, I've stayed in 5* around the world and these beds beat some of them hands down, if there is a down side it's early morning traffic noise but if you book an hotel in the centre of...

Rom number 22 was moore or less direct above a very busy street. Big problems to sleep. Small rooms with very squeky beds. Breakfast was ok, service in reception very good. Pricelevel on the high side.

We stayed here for 4 nights in October 2016. This hotel is in the perfect position if you arrive by train or Leonardo Express form the airport. Its just a short 10 mins walk form the Termini station. Its also a easy walk down the Via Nazionale to the main part of Rome. The hotel its self is so lovely....

We stayed at Hotel Dorica for 4 nights last week and I cannot fault it at all. When we arrived, Florian who was at the reception desk was very welcoming and very friendly. He gave us a lot of tips as our visit to Rome was for the first time. The hotel is walking distance to most of the sightseeing...

We stayed at Hotel Dorica for 4 nights in September 2016. We booked online and were very happy with our stay. The room was clean, the location was great and the staff was excellent. I would recommend to anyone. Wifi always worked great, always hot water and always friendly staff. Many thanks to Mario, Emanuela(manager, I think) and the other...

We stayed at Hotel Dorica for a whole week while in Rome. The location was perfect being a little bit out of the hustle & bustle of the city but still a short walk to all key locations including the train station. Staff were very helpful and nice. Did everything they can to make our stay comfortable. The room we...

We stayed here in July, we were up at 2am for our flight so I requested an early checkin before we arrived. I got a reply from the hotel through booking.com saying 'if it was possible they would accommodate it, however it wasn't guaranteed. Which was perfectly fine, as I understand an early checkin isn't always possible, and it would...

My wife and I stayed here for a few nights, and were extremely pleased with the hotel. The rooms are a bit small, but very clean. There aren't too many bells and whistles, but the price is definitely right! Once again, the staff makes this a great hotel. Thanks Hotel Dorica!

Nice central location. Host at arrival was extraordinarily rude -- when my wife asked for the wifi password at check-in, the guy decided to lecture us with a big creepy grin on his face about how "guests arrive here in the most beautiful city in the world and the first thing they always ask is 'whats the wifi password?' "...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
