The hotel needs to change its transportation recommendation on the website. Don't take the train from the airport to Termini Station and then get a cab. The hotel clerk gave us great advice for how to get back to the train station using public transportation, but getting to the hotel from the airport involved dealing with shady cabbies outside of... The position is good: in the city. a few kilometers from the main attractions. You can easily walk out and find shops, get a taxi, walk to the metro or reach Saint Peters (less than 3km). Easy to reach by car, large parking partly covered (in the basement, although unguarded). The hotel is on a little hill, there are fine... More

We are back from a trip to Rome with a group and stayed here , the pool was closed despite 32 degrees in the afternoon and we would have loved a swim . The room faced the road and the traffic noise was awful, we couldnt leave the window open and even closed it was too loud and woke us... More

I stayed at this hotel for 7 days in the middle of August with my husband and 11 year old son. Good hotel, in my opinion correctly rated as a 4 star. The rooms were typically Italian with lots of dark wood and a super king sized bed, we also had an additional bed for our son which was a... More

The hotel was excellent.Great big rooms, good location, excellent breakfast. However the stuff was not friendly enough. The reception was far away from the customers. And i saw something i will never forget. In a dinner with spaghetti when we asked for some extra cheese a waitress came over us and pour some in our plates instead of leaving it on our table. And the fact... Our group of Italian teachers has been here for just about three weeks and we cannot agree more that it is like home. The rooms are spacious, we have been having dinner in our rooms with up to 7 people. There are two supermarkets near by so "dining in" is very easy and affordable. The restaurant is good, QUALITY at... More

Now officially an NH property, the Villa Carpegna was a Nice Hotel in an okay location. The rooms were clean and neat, although a bit dated-looking - not like the newer / contemporary NH's I've stayed in.. The staff were very friendly - the bar staff were great. Food? Well, there was plenty of breakfast and a good varierty, catering... More

Booked up this hotel on a website under the 'top secret hotel' guise. Have to say I was worried having read all the reviews. Happy to say I was very happily surprised. Whilst yes it is a little way out (20 min walk to the Vatican), it is a great spacious hotel of very good standard. The breakfast is excellent,... More

The room level was standard. Although it was clean, it was incredibly small and claustrophobic. The weather was nice, but you could not leave your window open because of the loud traffic noise. Amazingly enough, it had nowhere to store your clothes - not a dresser drawer to be found, only a very small, hard to access closed with a... More
