Stayed here for 3 nights/4 days. Brilliant location. 15 mins walk both to Vatican City and the forum, Jewish quarter etc. Room size fine for two people, good size for Europe but Americans will find them small compared to what they may be used to (we're British) - was sharing with my mum. Marcelo was a great help and arranged...

Although the location was good, the quality of the room was very poor and the internet (though free) was very slow. Room quality: extra chair in room was broken; "double bed" was two twins pushed together with big divot in middle where beds met; bed was very hard and pillows were flat rocks; bathroom looked like mold had been painted...

I recently stayed at the Cicerone Hotel in Rome for three nights. I was in a group from an American high school visiting Italy. Our tour was preplanned and we were forced to eat the food we were given each night. The food quality was sub-par...but the worst part of our dining experience was the staff. They were rude and...

This hotel was immaculately clean. Every aspect of it was designed to make the traveler comfortable. The staff was friendly and many of them spoke English which went a long way towards making our group of 100 travelers feel welcome. I would have given it a 5 star rating except there was a group of young people (14-18 yrs.) that...

I have never thought of staying at the other side of the river (Vatican side), but I was wrong. It is much more convenient, becuse you are so close to attractions and so far from the crowd. We went to Hotel Cicerone by chance when we were looking for a nice hotel close to the hospital Santo Spirito (my mom...

The people who work there are really nice to start of with! Then the beds are comfortable and the hotel is in a good place in the city. Close to the vatican. Just a walk from the vatican and there is a bus stop just across the road.

My husband and I stayed in Rome one night before a cruise. Our travel agent booked Hotel Cicerone for us because we wanted to visit Vatican City. The hotel is easy to spot from the street and check in was easy. Our room was spacious and clean, The bed and pillows are very firm, very comfortable. Bathroom is generously sized...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Cicerone hotel is a large, bright, modern building perfectly inserted in the nineteenth century architectural style of the Prati district. In spite of its large size the hotel is very warm and welcoming providing a very comfortable environment for guests.
