It's like entering another era. Classic decor is the theme of this convenient and centrally located hotel. It's near the central train station so it's a good place to stay if you're on the go. The staff is very friendly and accomodating.

Location was perfect, the hotel has a lot of history - meaning age. But it was clean and above average size for what you are going to get in Italy. They do not turn the AC on until May so you have to open the window to cool the rooms down. No screens, half expected a bird to fly in,...

Good situated hotel for public transport connection from aeroport. Good.position as base for.city trip. Walking distance coloseum 1,5 km. Staff by entrance neutral. Staff in restaurant neutral. Rooms ok, furniture old but nice, cleaning shall be better. Bed hard as I like. Noise on corridor higher due thin door of room , no sound isolation. Windows and AC OK, TV...

Clean rooms with linens changed daily which I liked very much!!! Location is very good about a 100 meters to the Termini. Short distance to major churches / basilica, to the Villa Borghese and to the Colosseo. However the free breakfast that comes with Rome rate are the same day in and day out. I stayed from February 9 -...

This past November my fiancé and I were fortunate enough to be able to take a dream vacation to the Eternal City. We stayed at the Massimo D'Azeglio Hotel for 7 nights. We enjoyed every second. The proximity to Termini Station is ideal, and the proximity to several of the major tourist attractions in the city is great too! Our...

Beautiful hotel with a nice staff. Our rooms were very comfortable with big windows that opened onto Via Cavour. The breakfast buffet was very good and was traditional European fare. The location was excellent, near shops and the Termini train station.

This is not a modern hotel. The wooden room floors show it clearly. But it's a very comfortable hotel, with a great quality of sleep and a very good location, roughly a two minute walk from Rome Termini train and underground station. The walk to the Colosseum is nice, but stretched (you can return by metro), and you can pretty...

I went to Rome in December and stayed here for four nights. The bedroom and bathroom were well decorated and clean. If you would like tea/coffee in your room just ask the staff and they are very willing to provide it (if I can remember correctly it was at a small extra cost). The staff were very friendly and happy...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
