Spent a great long-weekend in Rome staying at this hotel. The hotel is located at a small hill just behind the Spanish Steps. It is a 5 minute walk to the center, but in return - the rooftop terrace at the hotel offers magnificent views over the city! Both lunch and drinks at the roof terrace can be highly recommended!...

This place is a real gem for a weekend break and getting to see the city. Having not been to Rome before the Reception team could not do enough for us to make our weekend more special. Every single team member behind the desk were outstanding and so knowledgeable about what to do and see in the city. Ivan, Luca,...

My wife and I stayed in Room 409 of the Sofitel May 20 thru 24, 2012. We were in Rome on vacation. Our trip started badly. We arrived in Rome 7 hours late, on May 20, but our luggage arrived 2 days later. We were in real trouble with no luggage, however the hotel staff made us comfortable, so comfortable...

I stayed at this hotel 2 years ago but writing my review now because I am heading out to Rome again this summer and cannot imagine staying anywhere else. Everything about our stay here was positive. - Location: in one of the poshest leafy neighbourhoods of the city, on a tree lined road at the top of a steepish hill....

This is a wonderful hotel right in the center of Rome. Don't miss the views from the bar/restaurant at the top...the views are to die for for. This is probably the best viewing spot in all of Rome. Rooms are nice, not over the top, the Junior Suite was small, but the Hermes amenities were very nice. And the food...

We have stayed in quite a few Sofitel Hotels in Europe and North America and have never been anything else other than extremely satisfied. And so for Sofitel Roma Villa Borghese - but if anything this hotel even surpassed our previous Sofitel experiences in terms of comfort, service and value. On top of which it is superbly situated just of...

I stayed in this hotel as part of my honeymoon to france and italy for 3 days. It is a nice property, mostly in the five star hotel way, not really what comes to mind when you think of a Villa. The room was nice and spacious with a beautiful romanesque balcony. The bathroom was especially exquisite, designed in an...

Great location (walking distance to fountain Trevi, etc) and service at the hotel. The lounge on 7th floor is too pretentious - service is very slow and not too friendly, so would not recommend that. Other than that, great hotel!

I booked this trip as a present for my husband's 50th. The checking in was fantastic & they were very helpful giving us a map and selection of leaflets and circled all major tourist points. Our room was very disappointing considering I had also upgraded to a luxury suite and they knew it was a special occassion. The view from...

Alright, this is kind of a late review as I stayed twice at this hotel in July 2011 but never got round to writing a review before. So hopefully, things haven't changed much since I left. Reception was excellent, check in and check out went very fast. Helpful staff. Clean and nice room but a little small. I came back...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
