We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at the end of a 5 week journey around Italy. We were really looking forward to a little luxury and some rest. Other reviews talk about having a wonderful time drinking in the roof top bar. Unfortunately for us we were staying in a room right underneath. We were unable to fall...

This is a 5 star hotel that is in a quiet location only 2 blocks from the Via Veneto. I stayed there for a week and absolutely loved it. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious by Rome standards with beautiful traditional decor but good amenities like a flat screen TV. The rooftop restaurant and lower level breakfast restaurants are a...

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at this lovely hotel. It is worth the money especially when we have the spectacular view from the rooftop restaurant and bar. We had dinner twice in the restaurant and the food was great. The cocktails were to die for despite being a little pricey but worth it. Our room, the basic...

Stayed at the Sofitel on a week-end. The hotel being fully booked, I had to use my A-Club privilege to get a room. They delivered, without charging the rack-rate which is appreciable and appreciated. Hotel is located in the heart of Roma, minutes from the Spanish Steps and the Via Venetto. Check-in was quick and efficient. We were given a...

I spent a week in Rome with my husband and my 2 daughters, ages 11 and 26. We had a room with a queen size bed. The girls had 2 twin beds. The rooms were great with windows that opened so you could get fresh air (although there was lots of traffic noise so it could not be left open...

We stayed at the hotel three days prior to our Italy Cruise and I have to say that it was one of the better hotels that we have stayed in Italy. We had a room with a king size bed and it was very large and comfortable.

I spent 4 nights with my girl friend at the hotel Sofitel Roma Villa Borghese. In comparaison with the other Sofitel hotels we know was this stay rather disappointing. Nothing negative to say about the location, very close to the center in a quiet area, or about the cleanliness. The room was well decoreted but very small, the bathroom tiny....

The hotel is between the Spamish Steps and the Via Veneto but is in a quiet street by the park. The rooms and service were excellent-we felt very well looked after! The rooftop bar was wonderful with views to the Vatican, and the breakfast buffet was the best we've seen.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights as part of an escorted tour package. The hotel is very beautiful inside and our room was pretty and equipped with many amenities. Hotel staff, while certainly not rude, were very formal and somewhat unapproachable. The buffet breakfast was included with our price and was lovely. Our first day, however, we...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
