My family and I stayed at the Grand Hotel Palace while visiting Rome for 3 nights. The hotel is conveniently located on Via Veneto and not too far from most main sights. However, the rooms lack adequate storage space. There is only one double cupboard and a single extra shelf to store things. The bathroom has no extra shelves either.... More

The room was reasonable and fair for the price level. Very clean and tidy. The location is great, many of the monuments are at walking distance from the hotel. The staff are very courteous and addressed any request efficiently and very quickly. We experienced some air-conditioning malfunctions, but the staff upgraded us to another room in which it was working... More

This hotel is out of this world! Marble floors, beautiful color themes. Get the rooms on the end of the halls because they are more spacious. They have more windows & they are able to open to hear the city or air out the room. The bathroom is great. I'm not a big fan of the sink & the shower... More

Wonderful location- Easy walk to Trevi Fountain, Near lots of cafes and restaurants. Short Metro ride to Vatican City. Our package came with a full American and European Breakfast. Not inexpensive but a good value for saving time seeing sights

The rooms need updated! They are small, no furniture and a couple of very small chairs. There are not enough lights in your room for reading! The bathroom have some cracks in the floors/walls. We lost our wifi for 1 1/2 days. The people are friendly and are very good with arrangements, getting taxis, etc.. This is not a 4... More

We stayed in a junior suite. The room was spacious but the decoration was not very functional. The service is ok. The location is very central. But the 5*L is really missing the L. Not decided whether to stay again or not

Nice Hotel with good design rooms near HardRock Cafe, and Spainish Stairs. But you have to walk a lot to get somewhere else or take taxi. Great breakfast and very friendly staff. Be careful during winter month a little bit cold in the rooms as there is no carpet.

This is a centrally located attractive but not intimate hotel. We stayed for a week in a superior room which had a balcony. The rooms are clean but it is worth noting that you cannot 'plug' the sinks , if for instance you wanted to do any washing. The reception staff were always helpful and spoke reasonable English. The location is Wonderfull. Very near to many attractions, such as Villa Borghese The Spanish Plaza and Trevi Fountain. There are many services offered. I think that the hotel should hold tight to its past and high quality standards, but at the same time update its rooms and toilets.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
