We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights recently and found the staff to be very welcoming and helpful. Not just one person at the desk; the entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to our needs and numerous questions. The room was a bit small but was adequate and comfortable for us. The breakfast buffet that was included in...

Highly recommend this hotel for a stay in central Rome. Perfect location for getting to all of the tourist sites without being on the busy main street and over the road from the beautiful Villa Borghese park (which offers a relaxing drink at the end of a hectic day). The classic double room was a good size (only critisism was...

During the last 40 years of my life I stayed in hundreds of 5 star hotels all over the world, but mainly in Asia where the standards anyway are top. My wife and I stayed at the Victoria for 5 days and were surprised to find a European 4 star hotel with an excellent service, stunning terrace on the roof...

The staff was quite helpful, spoke English and was friendly. The rooftop bar/restaurant was a great place to reax after hours of walking the streets of Rome. Walking...

The hotel was convenient, very clean, and the staff was helpful and friendly. I was surprised at how large the bathroom was, considering most bathrooms in European hotels tend to be small. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a lot of variety. The rooftop bar was very nice for hanging out with a drink after a long day of sightseeing....

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Victoria. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable, maid service was excellent as was the breakfast. We also thoroughly enjoyed the rooftop bar and restaurant. The food and service were very good and the ambiance was very special. We also enjoyed the mix of other guests-- many Europeans and only some other Americans....

Our experience in this hotel was not good. This was partly our own fault, as we didn't keep complaining about the bad smell or the general bad condition of the room (I believe the bad smell was from the carpet tiles in the room which were dirty beyond belief!). We were on vacation though, and really, we shouldn't have had...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
