This hotel is perfectly located for Via Veneto and many great local Trattorias. Its on the edge of the Villa Borghese gardens which I would have gone walking in had the weather been better. The hotel restaurant serves fantastic local Roman style food and is reasonably priced. We had two rooms for single occupancy which were very comfortable, spotlessly clean...

The location of this hotel was excellent and staff was friendly and helpful. We arrived quite early and our luggage was held securely for us while we toured the nearby Villa Bourghese. The Via Veneto is just around the corner and attractions like the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Pantheon are an easy walk. The hotel also has a lovely...

The location is excellent, 150 meters from Via Veneto, across the street from Villa Borghese and minutes away from the Metro. This hotel shows its age and in my opinion is more in line with a three star hotel rather than the four claimed. I stayed for a whole week and my remarks follow. The rooms are clean and comfortable,...

An amazing find in the historic city of Rome. We stayed here for two nights in July. We had a lovely, clean room with a large bathroom. The staff was helpful and friendly offering suggestions for dinner and gelato. We could walk to many attractions, including the Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps, Villa Borgese, shopping and Harry's. The terrace bar...

This seems a well-run property with very professional employees. Of note is the doorman/bellman Clemente (che tempo fa oggi, clemente?), who gave us suggestions for dining, the closest subway station, and even some brief history lessons about Rome and the old city wall which lies just beyond the front door of the hotel. Our room had a quirky arrangement, with...

I stayed in room 410 for one night as part of a tour group. Having stayed elsewhere in Rome, I don’t think I’d pay the Victoria’s prices on my own. There are really nice 3-star hotels for about half the price in the area. Nonetheless, here are my comments: Big room and large modern bath. Very typical Euro-International breakfast buffet...

The Hotel Victoria is the perfect place stay in the beautiful city of Rome. Situated in a quiet side street, just off the Villa Borghese and a stone's throw from the north end of the Via Veneto, one of Rome's grand boulevards, you get to see the real city. The hotel is grand, yet the staff are very friendly and...

The hotel was claen and comfortable with a friendly and helpfull staff. The hotel served great included breakfasts. You can walk to the Spanish steps in 15 minutes and the Pantheon or Trivi Fountain in another 10 minutes. The old Roman wall is accross the street and the Villa Borghese park is one more block away. Two blocks away is...

Is nice, clean, friendly to American/English people.. I would stay there again.. The employees are local people who can point you in the right direction or set up a city tour with qualified companies right at the front door.. There is also an american style breakfast buffet in the lobby of the building for an extra charge... It was included...

A colleague and I stayed for 3 nights in this delightful hotel. The staff were outstandingly helpful, professional, and friendly. For one who has stayed in many hotels around the world I would rate this one very high. If you want oppulant luxury you might not like it, but for a reasonably priced hotel it met all of my expectations....

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
