We spent four nights in this beautiful hotel and our room was at the first floor. The location is also very good since there is a metro quite near and since there are lots of same kind of hotels in this area the neighborhood is clean. The welcoming was very friendly and the staff was very helpfull, kind and friendly...

A group of eight friends spent a very enjoyable weekend at the Savoy Hotel and everything was exceptional from the service all of the staff gave without exception, to the rooms, to the breakfast. We came back late after eating out on the Sunday evening and the bar staff kept the bar open for us without any complaints whatsoever. They...

This hotel is located in a central district of Rome. Stop for the Hop-on Hop-off bus is very close by. It is also close to the Barberini Square, which is good for shopping etc. A good meal can be had at the Roof-top Restaurant. View from the restaurant is quite interesting. The dome of the St. Peter's Basilica and the...

Some friends & I stayed here on a short weekend break & we had a lovely time. The staff were excellent & all went the extra mile whatever we asked of them. The hotel was quite busy but they were there with answers all the time. Special thanks to the concierge for his assistance with the restaurant on the Friday...

Stayed for 2 nights with friends. The location was great. Dependant upon your fitness levels you could walk to the majority of attractions. If you don't fancy the walk the hop on hop off bus stops just round the corner from the hotel. You can also get a taxi which costs between 10 to 15 euros and there are normally...

We really enjoyed our stay of five nights. The hotel is a bit away from some of the tourist locations, but walking is possible and taxi cabs cost about €12 or so to most areas. The hotal is located on a quiet tree lined street. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was huge and once we learned how...

We booked it with two months in advance, we arrived and they sent us to a nearby 4* hotel as cheesy as ever arguing that our room was flooded along other rooms in the same floor. What really happened is that they were overbooked with some Australian or Canadian cruise travelers and they needed our room. Once they let us...

The Savoy is a great place to stay if you want to get away from the mobs in Rome but still be within walking distance of most everything. Just off the Via Veneto, near the Villa Borghese, it's a lovely part of the city, with many good, reasonably priced restaurants nearby. Spacious rooms and bathrooms, full breakfast, friendly staff. Ask...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
