Great location. Very easy to arrive and leave because of the near location of Termini. All major tourist attractions are close enough to walk except Vatican where you can easily get by Metro from Termini. Breakfast ok. Wi-Fi in hotel room worked well.

This has been the best place for me to stay so far in Europe versus the hostels/hotels that I have been. It actually has AC, private room with bathroom, clean & free breakfast. To be honest, we only needed something for a place to stay & this is nice

Stayed one night there, me and my friend asked for a double room with 2 single beds but they gave us a couple bed. After our complain in the reception they gave us a better room The hotel is very small so is the breakfast area, we had to wait for others to leave so we could get in, the...

Stayed here for a long weekend, location is perfect, minutes walk from termini and a stones throw away from the beautiful basilica maria maggoire and some brilliant restaurants nearby. Yes the rooms are old, but the for the price you can't beat it and remember, you're in Rome! How long are you actually going to be spending in the hotel...

We chose this hotel because it was close to the train station and tourist sightseeing bus stop, the price was very cheap and had a buffet breakfast included! The building is quite old, but has a lot of character, including an old caged elevator! Staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were...

The hotel is in a very good location, which is the only good thing. Staff is polite but rooms are very poor and old. We stayed there for one night only and they had problems with the boiler. So we couldn't take any hot, or warm, shower either the evening, night or morning after...

After the bad reviews that we have seen here it was a very a reasonable choice and a good experience. Nice and tidy room with great view from the 5th floor balcony for a fair price. We got cleaning, fresh towels and soaps every morning. The room's condition is not like in a new built hotel but it is absolutely...

Very close to main station and amenities. Hotel reached via stairs or tiny lift, once you are able to get into the building. Took a while for them to answer intercom. Once inside we were asked if we would like a drink prior to checking in. Room adequate for needs and exactly as pictured on website. Breakfast room very small...

Good breakfast, but rooms are close to the front lobby where people talk. But it was a cheap place to stay. Little hard to find, and it is near some really shady people at the train station so be careful. When you walk through the giant doors you feel like you are in some old abandoned house, then you must...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
