We checked in late and the best and helpful staffs were really helped us. If you are driving you need to consider the parking ticket for the whole day since it's started to charge during office hour. I paid 8 euros from 8am - 6pm and left the car parked in front of the hotel and went for city sightseeing.

We stayed for 3 nights. The room had the basic things you needed, the aircondition was a small machine that didn't do much, the toilet smelled awful until we closed the toilet sit and door and the second day we run out of toilet paper and they didn't bring any until we asked them to. The staff was friendly but...

Have NEVER stayed this bad in a Hotel. The hotel was in a bad location, the bed was very uncomfortable. There were some young travellers that were also on the same floor they were making so much noise,,, our final night we did not get sleep at all. Reception is 24hrs but for some reason they did not ask them...

This is a 2* Hotel so not much to expect, however there are some things that could be improved. There are small things that easily can be resolved and that would make the review a 4 or 5 stars. Room 206 smells a little bit from the sewer, if you close the bathroom door it's ok, but it is usually...

Hotel is very near to termini which is full of suspicious people so we didn't feel so safe during our staying. We arrived to the hotel when it was New Year's Eve and staff who welcomed us didn't speak proper english. We booked room for 2 persons but they offered us dark and crappy room for 3 persons.. Room was...

In 3 nights and 4 days in Aquarium Hotel, I never took a shower with hot water. The staff told me that is normal, hot water isn't enough to all the guests. Breaksfast isn't the same we can see in the photos of the hotel, it hasn't all the variety. The hotel isn't quite too... Lacation is ok and the...

The pictures available online and through their website are a poor representation of the actual state of the rooms. They are in pretty bad shape. They also advertise that there is a sauna in room but when ours didn't work we were told that they didn't have a permit to run them. The staff was polite but it often took...

Well it isn't luxurious at all, it's very simple and basic, even old building in and outside. But if you want to spend a couple of days in Rome for a reasonable price, it's a good option. Rooms very basic, not very beautiful, but big and clean. The staff is very nice and polite. The breakfast is very basic, only...

The hotel is fine. Its old, inside an old building, but it was very clean. Its really close to the train station, which made it easier for me (big luggages). There was and elevator to put the luggage in. The air conditioning was avaible all the time (unlike some hotels who turn it off as the summer ends). The breakfast...

Well where do I start.. When we got there we immediately realised we had to find somewhere else to stay as it was awful. It doesn't have a main entrance so you have to ring the door bell and wait for someone to eventually let you in (which can take a while). Once you're in you have the option to...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
