We arrived at the Grand Hotel Tiberio with high expectations after seeing some good reviews. We were impressed with the reception and restaraunt but not with the service. Our baggage porter was 45 minutes late and left us in our room with no luggage! We stayed at the hotel and had a very enjoyable dinner. Wanting to go for a...

Stayed here for three nights in December 2010. Hotel fine, room okay. Probably more 3*. Staff were friendly and were happy to provide you with directions and maps etc. My luggage was delayed and they made several calls on my behalf to the airport. Breakfast was continental but nice and filling all the same, with a good assortment of juices,...

The Grand Hotel Tiberio is a decent hotel. The main problem with me was the location. It's in a neighborhood of apartment buildings, more than a mile west of Vatican City. There's a bus that stops near the hotel, and takes you about ten blocks down the hill, to where you can get on the Rome Metro at the Cipro...

Dear All, I would like to say about the location that we are not in the centre but only 1.5 km from Vatican City and 2.5 km from the city centre. Maybe we are not in the centre but you can get there easily in 15 minutes. You have to consider one important BENEFIT of our location, we are in...

The bare bones hotel, at least they upgraded us to a junior suite, or I would have been miserable! The room was dirty, there was crumbs next to the dresser. The bathroom was clean and looked new, but small. The pillows were not soft and the king bed was very hard. The food in the restaurant was adequate, but not...

Dear All, sometimes to please it's a hard work ... how many times you get a free upgrade to a junior suite that cost 10 times more than a standard room and then you complain about not having in your box breakfast at 6.00 AM a warm croissant ? Anyway I apologize if there were some crumbs in the room...

Pros Clean room (and friendly cleaner), modern building, free shuttle bus into town, food in restaurant ok, quiet location. Cons Staff a little unfriendly- on arrival we were threatened with paying a 60 euro supplement per night as they had the children's age wrong- took all our stay to sort out. Quite along way out from tourist area and no...

Dear Guest, thanks for taking the time to share with others your experience with us. About the neighborhood I can guarantee that is one of the best in Rome, if you visit Rome you can see unfortunately that there is graffiti everywhere and it’s not a sign of good o bad neighborhood, the price in our restaurant are average for...

Two days ago I googled GHT, because i miss Rome and would never stay anywhere else than at Grand Hotel Tiberio. I read some of the negative ratings and could not believe it! So I HAD to write something myself. My husband and I went to Rome in 2007 and again in 2009. We plan to go back this year...

After having stayed here in march with my boyfriend I will def not make a return visit. Sort out your horrible, rude blonde receptionist. Not a hello, smile or anything. This lady was the hotels first impression. The next morning was the exact same with her. Staring me out does not suffice as a hello. The hotel staff found it...

Dear Guests, I'm really sorry you did not enjoy the stay in our Hotel because, as I understand, mainly of the blonde receptionist. I would like to say that the blonde receptionist was a girl from Russia for a stage, so she wasn't a member of the Hotel staff, I believe she was shine for being in a new environment...

A little off the beaten track , so you must plan for transportation for your ride back depending on where you are in Rome. We were a large group and cabs were a bit on the expensive side. As far as the hotel goes, it was good. It was clean enough, quiet enough, rooms were okay looking could use a...
