(+) Location was perfect, one minute by foot to Termini Station, surrounded by lots of restaurants (those more elegant, as well as fast foods) and shops. Hotel room was OK, nothing fancy, but clean with small flat screen TV and rather comfortable bed. There was a safe in the room, but we didn't use it. Bathroom was small, but managable,...

If you looking for a place to stay in Rome for no more than 4 nights with minimal conditions, for a cheap price this ideal. The room we stayed was double bedroom - bed seemed ok to me. Wall in the room full of dump , could perfectly be covered and painted. Air conditioner was limited to 22 degrees. You...

The room was cheap and perfect for college students traveling. Very bare, no furniture, but comfortable beds and a wonderful continental breakfast. Good for if you want to explore the city and not spend much time in the hotel. Great location

We booked this hotel because of location close to the rail station so we can reach different places to visit. Is close also to metro station, a few streets away from it. You can find small restaurants and shops near the hotel.

Where to start? Bed was quite comfortable and location very convenient, plus next door to a good reasonably priced restaurant. Pillows thin, dirty and hard. Quilt the thinnest I have ever seen, grubby. Shutters broken in bedroom and bathroom.Wardrobe moldy and tiny. A strange type of vent sellotaped behind a picture frame made loud noises all night. Skirtings falling off,...

The hotel is 2 minutes walk from termini! You follow the tram lines for one block and you are there ! The room is comfortable and big enough ! The guys in the reception were very kind and helpful! Breakfast is perfect for the price: eggs , ham cheese , yogurt, croissants and fruits! Every day was the same but...

This hotel fit my needs - I wanted to be close to the termini station and just get a good sleep so this place is perfect. RSmall grocery stores, fruit stalls, are nearby. Attractions i.e. collosseum are within 30 minutes to walk. Vatican city is a little bit of a hike so I advise to take a bus (close to...

Excellent service and excellent location. Abbundant breakfast. Clean rooms. We stayed here for three nights and would definitely book here again on the next trip to Rome. Definitely value for money. The location is also perfect as it is just opposite the main termini station and so the area is always full of people. This makes the area safer especially...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
