I went to Rome to propose my gf. We've been here for only one night and we booked a deluxe room but we were upgraded to a junior suite. The hotel is amazing and the staff is very helpful! The location is great and the have a free shuttle bus direct to the city center at Via del Corso.

Hotel is first class, beautiful, peaceful setting, nice rooms and great breakfast. Easy walk to the Vatican to the left and to lots of reasonably priced family restaurants across the Tevere river to the right, it couldn't be better situated.

We came here on the first part of our honeymoon, we spent a little more than usual and we're not disappointed! The hotel is about a 10/15 min walk from the Vatican and 45-60 min walk to The Colosseum. We walked everywhere but the hotel also offer a free shuttle into town and out of town at certain times throughout...

Stayed in hotel February with friends and the service was first class, had a good deal and would go back, room was spotless and spacious, no view from room which was disappointing. Staff were very attentive even bringing umbrellas when raining, good time of year to visit Rome . Food was also good and ideal location for sight seeing

We had a terrible experience there so I am biased. On our online reservation we requested our rooms to be connected. On the day of our arrival I called in early in the morning to extend my stay one more night and confirm, and got confirmation, the two rooms are connected. On my arrival: there are no connected rooms! I...

We stayed there 3 nights in the beginning of May. Very nice hotel, but I think it doesn't worth 700 euro per night… Room was nice, but quite small; I was expecting bigger room for this price. TV was not working so we have to ask to fix it next day. The round bath looked very luxury, but to be...

The Gran Melia Agrippina in Rome, Trastevere, is completely recommendable. Modern chill out swimmingpool in the atmosphere of a palazzo. Perfectly located minutes away from the Vatican, Piazza della Rovere and Amadeo di Saboya bridge. The rooms are nice with modern swimming pool and good size.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
