Of all the foot slogging and tours, the highlight of our early September trip and most memorable were the friendliest, good, honest folks that run Deko Rome, Marco and Serena. That includes the Vatican! What a lovely couple that deserve all the best success that they will make Deko, from the initial contact and follow up or the taxi waiting...

My daughter (22) and I stayed here four nights in June 2014. I booked it from reviews on Trip Advisor and was not disappointed. I have never stayed in a B&B before and now I am sold, although I think I am spoiled from Deko! I was nervous traveling alone with my daughter, but we felt so safe and taken...

I decided on staying at this hotel after reading the glowing reviews. My dates changed but they were accommodating to this. Everything about this intimate boutique hotel is first class. It is so clean. Serena and Marco really make this hotel. They genuinely take time with every customer to make their experience in Rome sensational. Their tips for hidden places...

Wonderful small intimate hotel that is spotless and offers exceptional accommodations and service. Location is great. Owners are on site and wonderful people. My wife and I get around and use Travel Advisor frequently. While I don't know for a fact, the negative reviews on this hotel are TOTALLY out of line with what we saw & expererienced.

We stayed for 4 nights in the Deko Rome in mid-August 2014, and had an amazing time. It is located in a very nice and upscale area of Rome - very close to the Villa Borghese gardens (which is great for a morning run). It's close enough to the major sights to be convenient, but far enough away that you...

There are two reasons that Deko Rome is the number 1 hotel in Rome, and they are Serena and Marco. This lovely couple own and run Deko, with such grace and warmth, that every review about this wonderful hotel says it again and again. From the moment that we arrived we were treated with kindness and hospitality. Over a glass...

LOCATION: Upscale, tranquil neighborhood. Very close to the main touristy street of Via Veneto (like the Champs Elysees in Paris). A few buses stop just outside the hotel, and it's about a 10-minute walk from the train station (do buses, if you can, you'll walk enough when exploring the city). Five-minute walk to excellent restaurants and gelaterias. ACCOMMODATION: Design, design,...

We had two fantastic nights in July, Marco and Serena are adorable, so friendly and welcoming, they gave us so many fantastic recommendations and made the stay so cool. The room was very comfortable and perfect for our stay, in a great area...Definitely stay here!

From the moment that we arrived, we were met by Marco and Serena with such warmth it was like coming home. Serena spent at least 30 minutes showing us on a local map their personal recommendations of historical sites, museums, restaurants, bars, gelato, shopping etc. There was no need for a travel guide book, they explained all the basics how...

I waited 4 months to write this to show how much this stay meant to my family during our Rome visit in April. I remember the checkin, Marco carried our luggage , which he really was happy to do. A glass of wine accompanied our sit down while we reviewed the city map of Rome. Marco is in the restaurant...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
