What a lovely hotel with character and helpful staff. The room was very clean and serviced daily, the staff on reception were helpful with recommendations and directions. My gold star goes to the incredible ladies in the breakfast room they were constantly topping up the buffet food plates as they got low and clearing the tables quickly as guests had finished on a couple of mornings we were lucky enough to dine out on the terrace in the beautiful sunshine, thank you Liezel and the other lady whose name escapes me for making our stay special.

Hotel with great charm. But perfectible. The service is perfect, free mini bar filled every day, nice breakfast with beautiful views. On the bedroom side, the fridge was broken down, and the bathroom showed pronounced wear marks.
The location is just under an hour walk from the city center, 30 min by metro. Nice experience.

The location of the hotel is ideal for attending an event in the Parco della Musica, it's about a 15-minute walk. It's about an hour's walk to St. Peter's Basilica.
The ladies at breakfast are very friendly, and the coffee from the espresso machine is very good. The selection is small, but includes sweet and savory dishes, and you have a lovely view from the small balcony.
When we arrived at the hotel, it was too early to check in, it was lunchtime and we wanted to leave our luggage at the hotel and go out to eat. The receptionist told us that wasn't possible, we had to take our suitcases with us. However, a room was ready and we were able to check in earlier.
Our room was very small, but we knew that because we had booked late and nothing else was available.
Unfortunately, the double bed was also very narrow and the mattress uncomfortable.

I stayed in January 2023 with my son at this hotel to attend a concert at the nearby Auditorium

First of all I would like to applaud the concierge, very friendly, nice and also available to store our luggage after our stay, waiting for the train.

In addition, the location is great and well connected by public transport even into the night to reach the Auditorium.

The property is, to be honest, quite dilapidated (the rooms are located inside a condominium, whose ground floor is dominated by the lobby).

The elevator, vintage, does not always work in the best way.

The room is very simple, but definitely not the best in terms of cleanliness.

The breakfast is of industrial quality but can fit since we are talking about a 3 star hotel.

Value for money OK, average hotel.

Friendly and helpful staff.
They were comprehensive in responding to our inquiries.
Room not very large, basic but complete with everything you need, fine for a two night stay.
Bathroom with spacious shower, perhaps a little uncomfortable the lack of a countertop but the size of the sink has made up for the lack by not having too many things.
Our room was on the third floor and overlooked an inner courtyard so very quiet.
Breakfast with view .. good choice between sweet (cakes, mini croissants, fruit, dried fruit, cereals, jams and hazelnut cream) and savory (cold cuts, cheese and eggs).
Nearby there is a 24-hour mini market, an ice cream parlor open late and various restaurants.
The hotel is close to the stadium and the Foro Italico but a little far from the center and public transport stops.
Paid parking available very close to the hotel (subject to availability of places)

I had a great stay at Hotel Astrid for 3 days. The hotel itself is elegant with a marble foyer and staircase.

My room was very clean with a beautifully fitted out compact bathroom. Toiletries were replenished everyday plus the tea and coffee sachets. The bed had a good mattress and I slept well, no surroundings noise or loud bars.

The breakfast was copious with a good selection of sweet and savoury choices- as much as you want. Lovely croissants! The breakfast room overlooks the Tiber and is light and airy.

As my plane arrived late, I emailed the reception team in advance requesting a taxi pickup at Fiumicino. This was done efficiently and courteously. All staff were polite and helpful.

The hotel is well connected with buses; within 5 mins walk, the circular no.2 goes regularly to the Flaminio metro station (10 mins approx) from where the centre is easily accessible eg. 10 mins to the Vatican stop. As a single female traveller I felt safe walking from the bus stop after dark. Flaminia is a pleasant neighbourhood with good amenities.
I would stay here again, it was a fair price with breakfast included - grazie a tutti!

We stayed in this hotel 3 days for the Coldplay concert and to visit our capital! The positive notes concern the proximity to the Olympic stadium for the concert and the possibility of being able to easily reach the center of Rome on foot. For the rest various negative notes: 1) to start the surprise of the lack of availability of the garage for a fee despite having called 15 days before and I had not anticipated the problem! Fortunately we parked in the blue stripes paying for the daily about 8/9 euros per day. 2) Hotel under renovation in high season with elevator always occupied by workers and often dirty with lime. 3) The room. Ours was on the first floor but precisely because there were renovations it was not possible to take advantage of the air conditioning alone but had to be asked from time to time at the reception; otherwise the clean room but as mentioned gave into a courtyard where there were intense renovations. 4) breakfast. The room on the fifth floor was cozy and with a view of the Cuppolone. The excellent dishes from sweet to savory, but it is not acceptable (and there was space for espresso machine from bars or at least one of those from home with pods or capsules) that espresso coffee was available only with multifunction machine!! The coffee really a ciofeca as they say in Naples!!!

More of a B&B than hotel as no evening meals.
Too far out of town. Expensive taxi to get there from main train station.
Close to tram, but they run every 15 to 20 minutes, so could be waiting in cold.
Buses unreliable. Tram cheap.
Metro tube good and cheap. Have to walk 20 min or tram to start of metro, then pick up metro.
Room clean, room fridge complimentary water, juice and fizzy water, refreshed each day. Complimentary shampoo, soap and hair conditioner and shower cap.
Breakfast very good buffet. Hard boiled eggs fresh, scrambled egg, very crispy bacon. Toast, tea coffee, juices, cereals, yoghurt, cakes pastries, cheese, ham. View from breakfast of St Peter's Basilica dome in distance.
View from room onto backs of other buildings, pretty ugly. Scary too as shutters and bars had big gaps, worried about falling when reaching out to close shutters. Warm room.
Tv had single English channel which wasn't working .
WiFi good but Alexa came on in middle of night!
Staff friendly but language barrier, not brilliant with English. Gave us wrong directions first night to wrong end of town.
They will store luggage for you free of charge on check out day. We had later flight, so this was really helpful.
We did train from airport into town. Would thdn need two metros, then tram or taxi from train station to hotel.

Very nice hotel.
Clean and everything as described. Good breakfast.
We arrived with bags ahead of time, and we were charged to leave them in the room (which is acceptable) but the justification was that we were going to occupy the locker where other guests would need to leave their bags (as if we weren't guests either).

But we would return for what we proposed to pay.

This will be a rather late reply but hopefully might help another traveller. Yes, there are kettles available in the rooms. I’ve tried googling re transport times, there seem to be quite a bit of detour at the moment. But I’m certain that we took a direct bus, this was just before 10:00 tho Hope this helps
