Location, location, location. Easy walk from the hotel to the Vatican, and, crossing the river, to the Novena Piazza, the Spanish Steps, and the Trevi fountain. You have a longer walk to the Colosseum, but probably will discover additional gems on the way, or take a taxi or public transportation. Fine breakfast; nice toiletries. Our room was spacious, well furnished,...

Very pleased with this hotel. The hotel was located in a less congested area, which we loved. Within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. The rooms were very spacious and clean, the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a great hotel in a great location, the rooms are lovely and the restaurant is great. The only negative is the staff seem very stressed, busy and under a lot of pressure. I was actually given the wrong room when I got to the hotel and there always seemed to be a lot people queuing at the check...

After much researching of hotels in Rome I picked this one for our 10th wedding anniversary. Being one of the priciest hotels of the ones I'd looked at I was expecting good things. And it did not disappoint! The hotel was beautiful. Lovely decor and very clean. All staff were sensational, so friendly and helpful. The room we had was...

The Dei Mellini in Rome is perfectly located on the Vatican side of the Tiber. 15-20 minutes walk from the Vatican, and Trevi Fountain & Spanish Steps in the other direction, over the river, and 40 minutes from the Colosseum. The bed is huge and comfortable, bathroom spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet is good and there is a fabulous...

Stayed for a week with family on a roman holiday. Property is about 45 minute walk to forum area and 15 minute from the Vatican. There is no such thing as a straight road in Rome but once you master the maps the walking from the hotel is easy. We found the building in good condition and well maintained. House...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
