We had a lovely week staying at the Alexandra Hotel. It was easy to walk to everything, particularly the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, plus the metro was just outside the hotel. The hotel was quiet at night and the breakfast just right. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Our room was on the small side, with not...

Very basic clean room, comfy beds, good shower. Nothing charming or memorable. Breakfast room was rather dark and closes after breakfast. Food was good with plenty of choices. Hotel is on a very busy, noisy street, in a very confusing area. Not particularly close to anything but the HOP ON HOP OFF. If you know your way around Rome, and...

Dear Guest, we thank you for this feedback but we feel surprised about what you said. Our Hotel is located in one of the most important and fashion street of Rome, the Via Vittorio Veneto famous for the "DOLCE VITA", memory of many movies of Federico Fellini, Marcello Mastroianni and many others... I book this hotel for my business trip but I'm disappointed that the room is small, outdated and the bed is uncomfortable so I only stay here for one night and move to another hotel that is in the same area. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. It's close to the central and shopping area. Other...

The hotel is very well sited as a base for Rome's main sights (the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps are less than 5 mins walk) as well as being close to the subway (4 stops from the Vatican). The staff are excellent and the hotel is clean, although the rooms are small as it's an old but atmospheric building. Breakfast...

Hotel Alexandra is a great place to stay. Walking to the major tourist attractions is a reasonable distance. The Rome Metro was very close to the hotel. It cost us 1Euro, 50 cents to go to the Vatican. To get to the desk you must climb 12 or so steps. This is the only thing I could find wrong. The...

We had a great stay at Alexandra. It is a smart hotel on the elegant Via Veneto which is so handy for buses and the metro. It is easy to walk to all the main tourist areas within an hour. The hotel is compact and clean with a friendly feel and great staff. Special mention to Joseph and Giorgio at...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
