We were on our honeymoon. When we arrived, they expected us with a little gift and the staff was extremely helpful and nice during our staying. The bed is comfortable, we had plenty of pillows and the hotel is very close to the Republica metrostation. At breakfast we had ham& cheese, salami, boiled eggs, apples, croissants, nutella( big like;))), cookies, cereals,...

If you are looking for a large room or a room with a view, go elsewhere. If you need a conveniently located place to stay which is clean, comfortable, and well-kept consider Cortina. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bed is comfortable. The breakfasts are decent. I chose this place because it was walking distance from Termini and...

ENGLISH WILL FOLLOW BELOW

Like the Ford Cortina this hotel is small bug what it lacks in size is position, cleanliness, friendliness and quietness. Being our last hotel of a 6 week train journey around Italy it's location was great. Close to Roma Termini and the Metro it made access to Romes sites easy. The rooms although small were immacculately presented and the staff...

We stayed for 3 nights, were picked up from the airport and booked to return the same way, easy and hassle free. The Hotel is on a busy Street but can easily be missed as it hides behind a shared door with the Hotel Martini. Press the button, they buzz you in and you enter a cool arched hallway. Up...

My wife and I just stayed 4 nights and were incredibly impressed with how caring and helpful Angelo and the rest of the staff were. They went over and above our expectations, caring so much for our vacation they even called our prearranged tours to see that we were going to be picked up.

After a few weeks travelling around Italy, it was an absolute pleasure to have been able to finish the trip in such a wonderful hotel in the heart of Rome. We were travelling as a party of three adults and were fortunate enough to have booked one of the hotel's two apartments. Absolutely fabulous. Clean, well appointed, modern and, for...

My Husband & I stayed here for 5 nights in August 2016. Hotel Cortina is located on 1st floor (need to look for small sign next to buzzer on door), great location for walking around Rome - best way to see & experience this City. Also can recommend the Gelato/Ice Creamery located right next door! Our double room was small,...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
