Although looks like a new property in Rome from Starwood Meridien Group the place is still under construction (workers were all over the place on my floor), may be it is soft opening period, who knows! The bistrot is a very disappointing menu - honestly speaking I thought I was staying at a very nice Holiday Inn London's style! Good...

Le Meridien Visconti is perfectly located just 15 minutes walk from Vatican and 10 minutes from Piazza di Spagna. Hotel rooms are renovated and qute well equipped. Hotel is new to SPG, so recognition of SPG Platinum members is not perfect - I received the room upgrade, however only one level up (not to best available room which shoud be...

Dear Guest, I am sorry to learn you had during your recent stay an issue with internet connection. We pride ourselves on the standards and service we provide, which makes it all the more disappointing to read that we have let ourselves down on this occasion as we couldn’t resolve the highlighted problem. Please accept my sincere apologize for this...

We stayed in this hotel one night during our visit to Rome. The hotel is updated and clean and the staff is wonderful. It was our first visit to Rome and they were extremely helpful. The location is near Vatican City and many of the other tourist attractions. We would highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel was very clean and well located. It was about a 20 minute walk to the Vatican and Trevi Fountain. It's just down the street from the Supreme Court. (which is a spectacular building!) We ate at the hotel the first night. It was good but not great. If you're travelling with a bunch of people they have a...

The hotel is located in the section of the city which usually does not come first to mind when making a reservation for a hotel in Rome but frankly this is one of the best locations I can think of... just steps away from SantAngelo / Vatican and Via del Corso / Piaza Di Spagna, it would be difficult to...

Comfortable bed in a typically modern hotel room. The hotel is in a great location, close to the Vatican and a 30 minute walk to the Coliseum. The downside was the corridors smell of cigarette smoke which is not good.

If you are trying to get a decent rest before you put in a long shift of site seeing or important business meetings then avoid this hotel. The hotel is currently undergoing some internal refurbishment works and every morning of my stay I have been awoken at 0700 by drilling and loud masonry work. Reception staff informed me that works...

I stayed here last week, it was a bit of a nightmare! I ended up complaining to the GM, Mr. Mucci who seemed to have an answer for everything rather than just say you're right I am sorry. My issues were: - No special welcome once the hotel knew my platinum for life SPG status (it was missed out of...

I stayed here earlier this year. I loved this hotel from the moment I walked in. The décor is very modern, but comfortable and practical too. My room was very large, which is unusual for Rome, and had absolutely everything I could wish for in a hotel room: hairdryer, large closets, granite surfaces, very comfortable queen size bed. The bathroom...

This hotel has recently been brought into the SPG family. While the rooms seem to have been renovated, the hotel in its entirety is probably not quite as nice as some Le Meridiens I have stayed in but it was an excellent value for the price and it was quite comfortable with nicely sized rooms. The location of this hotel...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
