Good location to restaurants, shopping the Metro. I will agree with most reviews that the front desk staff was not friendly.. even the person at the desk who seemed to be in charge was not friendly. I work for a hotel company for over 25 years and one of the most important things is to have a front desk staff...

We enjoyed a great stay at this classic Rome hotel. Staff was professional and cordial. Location was excellent so close to so many tourist attractions. We would use this hotel again and again. They provided us a great breakfast.

Rooms were a little small, but had everything you need. Breakfast was great and had a lot to choose from. Staff was wonderful, very close to subway and within walking distance to a lot of sights. We will defiantly return.

It was a straight toss up between the usually excellent Sofitel around the corner (OK I'm biased) and this one, but the superior reviews and better price swung it. Upon arrival I sent an email, which was responded to in less than twenty minutes. From that moment I felt that I could be onto a winner! The check-in was seamless...

The hotel is very beautiful, staff are generally friendly and helpful. The breakfast is unfortunately not up to the standard because of limited choice and at best average coffee. The other drawback is that the Internet is practically not working, which is very unfortunate. Notwithstanding these drawbacks, the stay in the hotel is very enjoyable and the location is very...

Nice hotel with a spacious room and bath except for the separated shower. Breakfast buffet was also very nice including warm foods. I will not avoid this hotel if I visit Rome again. There were steps from the reception to the elevator, but bell boys were ready to help me.

Great hotel. We have stayed here a few times, and the staff is great, they don't know what to do to keep your stay to the standards that you expect from staying in a a hotel from pre 19 hundred. We will be back, but please do something about your internet speed. Some of us make a living staying connected.

Enjoyed the location. Near the metro, train station and most tour bust stops. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Air conditioning is not so good and room often got stuffy. We traveled in first week of March so were able to open windows and get some fresh air. Giving it a 4 star since the restaurant was not so good. Breakfast...

This hotel is centrally positioned and provides a quiet ambient setting after a tiring day sight-seeing. The bedding and towels changed daily and a very good standard of cleanliness is maintained. Breakfast choice was broad and tasty however, on the one occasion we decided to dine in, the standard of cooking was markedly poorer and food was over- priced. Over...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
