I spent 5 nights at the Hotel Oxford in May. It is well located - slightly further away from some of the sights than some hotels but very easy to walk to them. An advantage is it is located in a quieter part of town - with some wonderful nearby local restaurants. It is also fairly close to the central...

19 May 2014, 4 night stay via BA. The hotel is in a nice area near the USA embassy and not too far to a metro station. Rooms are small and felt a little cramped. However, very clean, good housekeeping and a comfortable large bed. Good choice at breakfast and the service was friendly even if it was a bit...

We have been staying at this hotel in Rome for over 20 years and we think it is very good. The rooms are sufficient and updated. The breakfast was sufficient and the service was excellent. The location was best of all, near the Via Veneto and taxis easily accessed. Most of the people speak English at the hotel and are...

We stayed at the Hotel Oxford in Rome on May 5-7 before we went on a cruise. It is on a quiet street in central Rome. The staff is bi-lingual. Everyone is very helpful. The rooms are a nice size for Europe standards. Two beds, a mini bar, shower and tub, window overlooking the street. It had a full size...

we was looking for the perfect hotel and location in Rome and we found "The Oxford" for a very reasonable price and for what we need in Rome was the perfect spot. Four blocks from Via Veneto where actually hotels in that area cost $$$. The rooms are super smalls but in Europe is typical, our bathroom was incredible small...

This hotel is situated in a nice part of Rome near the American Embassy and Via Veneto. Reception staff were nice and could speak English. The room was smallish but quite suitable for 2 people for 4 nights. The shower was small but okay for us although a large person might have difficulty. The room was very clean and the...

Pleasant well run hotel in good location for sightseeing. Room OK (not good).Breakfast fine. Pleasant helpful staff. Some very good "local" restaurants near too make up for the fact that the hotel restaurant only did light meals. We would recommend for a short break.

We stayed here 3 nights and were very pleasantly surprised, great location, not ultra central yet central enough we walked everywhere but to the vatican, being in the civic center, lots of local spots around, not a 4* by American standards but for rome and big city EU its great!

We booked a four night stay with British Airways Holidays for my birthday. Six of us went. It is rated as four star but for me it is no more than a 3 star hotel. We had three rooms and my husband and I had booked a superior room for ourselves. When we checked in I genuinely thought they must...

This hotel is in a great location and is close to many good small restaurants and bars. It is in a safe, quite area and a short walk to the spanish steps and Trevi fountain. Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
