Overall the hotel is of a good standard, but around 3 rather than 4 stars. It is a clean hotel and the staff polite and helpful. Breakfast was good and enough variety for most tastes. Our room was small, needing some TLC with worn out dates decor and chipped walls. But, it was very clean and bed comfortable. I would...

This quirky hotel offers everything for a Rome city break. Friendly staff, who try to speak English are very helpful, and will tempt all customers to sample local wine, beer and even the most tasty lemonade I have ever enjoyed! The dining area is cosy and the food is delicious. The narrow corridors and stair case add to the hotels charm...

We, a family of four, recently stayed for 3 nights at Hotel Oxford in Rome. On arrival we had a warm greeting and were asked to accept a complimentary drink at the bar while our room was prepared. We were then shown to our room -The stairs to the floor were narrow but not an issue- and our luggage was...

The staff was very friendly. We really enjoyed the evening bartender, a Romanian, who was very attentive and suggested drinks we wouldn't find in the states. The hotel is in a nice area and very easy to catch a cab or walk to the nearby sites. The metro system in Rome isn't very handy anyway. The room was quite large....

If we want to discuss the ratio 'price to quality' the hotel deserves 10 stars (and I am usually very tight in giving out stars). Why do I say this?!... We were greeted at the reception by Francesco, who was very kind and professional, whom proceeded to give us a wonderful and quiet room. For what I paid, I had...

We booked our first family trip to Rome through BA and this hotel came recommended so we chose to stay there. We were not disappointed; the hotel has an excellent service and staff are extremely helpful and prompt in dealing with problems. Rooms are kept very clean. We were there for a week and would be happy to return to...

We first visited in August last year and reuturned this year to find the accomodation and service to be of a high standard once again. We even mamaged to have the same room which was really nice and...

This hotel was booked as a deal ,flight and hotel, with B.A. It was our first time in Rome and we were impressed right from the friendly face to welcome us at 12.15am right through to the many goodbyes when we left a week later. The room and ensuite were spotless, cleaned every day with large fluffy towels replaced every day....

I went to Rome for the first time earlier this year and stayed at Hotel Oxford with my mum. We were both really impressed with the hotel from the outset. We booked the hotel because it seemed great value compared to the others in Rome, I didn't have very high expectations due to the price but Hotel Oxford definitely proved...

I realised (entirely my fault) that the suites were not part of the 4 Star Hotel that I thought we were staying in the night before we flew. On the Hotel website they claim the Suites are Just 150 meters away, the Receptionist said 300 but I think 400 is closer to the mark. The distance being far enough away...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
