This is our third stay at this hotel and we have always been satisfied. The location is good and not far from train station. I liked everything in this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful, speaking perfect English (the guy Paolo helped me a lot, as well as the others, sorry, didn't ask your names:)). The rooms are...

We had a triple room which is a challenge in many European hotels. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the host in the breakfast room. There was plenty to choose from at the breakfast buffet and a great coffee service. Loved the free in room mini bar.

The Hotel Artemide was an amazing choice for our 4 night stay in Rome. The location couldn't be better and the rooms were spacious and well kept. Ten minutes to the coliseum and 15 to Trevi Fountain( that I recommend you see at night!). The staff was pleasant and the refilling of the mini bar was greatly appreciated!! Having the...

The hotel is in a good location and the overall service is good. The rooms are also clean and comfortable, and the free minibar is great. However, the breakfast was so-so for a four star hotel, the furnishings seemed to be getting a bit worn and the staff at reception sometimes seemed too preoccupied chatting themselves or didn't seem really...

Dear Madam, We are sorry to understand that your stay with us was not up to your expectations. By your words it really seems that you have been staying at another hotel; you in fact underline negative aspects which normally most of our Guests view as our major positive points – such as the breakfast and our staff attentiveness. Unfortunately,...

We were a group of six staying (in three rooms) at the Hotel Artemide for 10 days beginning the day after Christmas. We were all thoroughly pleased with our selection of this hotel. It was well located, and we were able to walk to almost all of the sights we wanted to see. As many before us have said, the...

Hotel has several good things going for it. Our room was nicely setup. One of the nicer rooms I have seen at the price we paid. Breakfast was above standard. Service was good overall. Felt it was a good overall value. Rooftop bar was nice. Fairly close to metro & train station. If you can get for a good price...

I booked the Artemide Hotel through Olotels.com. My fiancée and I stayed there five nights from October 28, 2013 to November 2, 2013 (at $290 USD per night) and then an additional night on November 7, 2013 (for $265), on our way back from Florence to Moscow. This hotel does not deserve its No. 10 rating on Tripadvisor. Our room...

Dear Mr. Kompa, We are sorry again that your stay did not live up to your expectations-though this review has come as no surprise as we had also heard your opinions during your stay-though our explanations continue to go unheeded. You had stayed here twice: the first time you had booked an Economy Double Room through an exterior website, and...

We recently stayed for one week at this well run hotel located in the heart of the city. This was our fourth stay in Rome, having previously stayed at the stuffy Excelsior and the St. Regis. Although the Artemide is not at the level of those hotels staying at the Artemide this time was the perfect choice. We reserved a...

My parents and I spent 2 nights at the Artemide Hotel just before our Mediterranean Cruise in 2012. It is a beautiful hotel with old world charm, wonderful furnishings and decor. The location was great- close enough to walk to the sights, but just far enough to not be noisy. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We were...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
