Hotel was easy to find, about a 15 minute walk from Termini train station. Upon arrival the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. The only negative thing I can say is the room was quite hot during the day/evening. Having the window open was a must. The AC did not work( not sure if...

We visited for one night in April. The welcome was efficient but not terribly friendly. The room was large and clean and the bathroom was lovely. However, the room was very hot and the hotel does not switch on the air conditioning until later in the season. We therefore left the window open overnight and didn't get a wink of...

It's my third visit to Rome, a city that needs no introduction. Decided to stay in Hotel Mondial due to its superb location, near termini station and a short walk from Repubblica Metro. The hotel is fine! Good breakfast, free wifi, nice room and a very good bathroom. For my expectations, it was all I needed. However, there some things...

Booked through BA including transfers which were very good. The hotel is in an excellent location easy walking distance to all sight seeing areas. Had a room on the front of the hotel, it could do with better double glazing as it was a little noise at times, good size room, good size bathroom, comfortable bed, the room also had a fridge...

We didn't opt for the breakfast but we had a good stay. The standard room was spacious enough as per city standards. So was the bathroom. The staff was extremely helpful. The location was a good one. Gave us good access to most of the locations as well as Roma Termini which was 800m away and quite walkable even with...

First time in Rome and wanted to stay within walking distance of the attractions and near the train. The Best Western Hotel Mondial met both conditions. Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
