I travelled to Rome for a long weekend away with my boyfriend in February and spent 3 nights staying in the Marcella Royal Hotel. The hotel is lovely. It's on a quiet street which has a couple of lovely restaurants on it to eat at....More
Almost everything about the hotel was okay, and the staff at frontdesk was very helpfull and with a lot of efficency.
Only downpoint was the very small bathroom in the singleroom, not suited for a velsized man like me.
The staff was awesome and the roof top was amazing. Nice view of Roma in the morning and a great place for a nightcap. The rooms are small and the showers are tight. The location is good with great restaurants nearby. 15 minute walk to...More
When we arrived from FCO airport to the Marcella Royal Hotel, I was immediately impressed by the beauty of the entrance. The hotel staff spoke English very well, and were extremely attentive. We got an updated room, which was modern and had a luxurious bathroom....More

Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to
Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.

When I visited I went everywhere on foot (furthest place is Vatican City which is 3 miles away) but there are so many things to see along the way it doesn’t seem so far. The hotel give you a map and mark all the best places to visit they can also help you organise tours and taxis if you’d like. I was there for 3 days (2 full days) and managed to see everything I wanted to.
